Thinking about picking one up, can it be pocket carried?

If you have huge pockets. Its not really a pocket gun.

had one in DA/SA, changed out to a p30sk LEM. Neither one can be pocket carried.

I would say no, not comfortably.

Y'all MFers must have some bigass pockets.

Guns don't belong in pockets.

No, it cannot.

I have one.

Not sure if serious.

Indeed. I have large pockets on my pants and I could never carry it in there in such a way that I could present it in a timely fashion should the need arise. Great pistol though.

No, despite being labeled a subcompact, it is not really the size of most others in its class.

I had one and liked it, but got rid of it because the glock 26 carries better, and the p30 handles better.

I didn't have a great experience with this or a couple of the USPs which I still can't wrap my head around since I like the quality of HK products.

Really simple answer.

No!

I had one and it was just OK. Too big to be a G26 competitor, too small to be a G19 competitor. Better options available

Well running might be limited but i suspect that's not an issue.

Like many others have stated, in terms of conceal-ability/pocket carry, there are far better options out there.  If you're looking to purchase a pistol solely for pocket carry, move away from this one.

That said, the P2000SK is pretty damn "bad-ass-reliable-and-durable", even in 40cal with hot loads (such as 155gr).  The trigger takes some getting used to but, once you figure it out, the sk is very accurate.

Overall, it's a great gun for dependability, reliability, and accuracy.  The high bore axis is kind of a negative so don't expect to have your fastest follow up shots, especially compared to a G17... but that's apples to oranges.

Why run, when I can drive away slowly.

Great pistol.

I've pocket carried mine before, it's doable but not something you want doing every day.

Sold mine, but it functioned fine.
Never carried in pocket.

P. S.
Pocket carry is for dummies.

I suppose you could pocket carry the SK if you purchase mags with the flat base plate.

More just throwing out size comparisons, you can substitute your favorite brands sub-compact and compact sized pistols most likely and the statement stands ;)

Yes, flat baseplate is necessary for that.
