For the remaining never-Trumpers, consider how Trump's first pick compares to the first pick for the last three GOP presidents:
Reagan picked O'Connor Bush Sr. picked Souter Bush Jr. picked Roberts I expect Trump's next justices to be just as good as Gorsuch. I think Kennedy will retire this year, possibly even this week. The Republicans will probably gain 5 or so Senate seats next year, making it even easier to seat a conservative. As such, Thomas will probably retire in 2019 |
