The  Nighthawk S was made from '84-'86. My first bike back in 1988 was an '86.

Back in the 90's tge bijes that peple thought were clasdics are not the bikes people want today.

The big surge in mototcyles thst started in the 60's enede on the early 80's.

The most sought after bikes come from this time...

CB750, CBX, and early fireblade from Honda

Z1, KZ900/1000, Z1-R and the tripples from Kawasaki

The 90's were a transition to the modern sportbike

"Rat Bike" has been around since before I started riding in the early 80's. The guys I've met riding rat bikes are typically unique, one of a kind, no bullshit type of guys who can fix their bike on the side of the road with baling wire, bubble gum, duct tape, and a 16 penny nail to get to the next town, not call a tow like 90 percent of the "bikers" here in GD.

This though just popped into my head, that while "rat" bikes/cars have kinda turned into a crazy fad of overpriced pre-rusted parts to look "cool", and while this leaves the rider side up for debate, probably the truest form of "rat bike" would be an old beat up 250cc on its 50th "first bike" owner. Guaranteed to be dropped and abused and dumped off on another owner before long with some cheap repairs, most of them are probably held together more with rust and JB Weld than factory parts.
