OK, I’m confused, it happens often. When you say “no company truck” does that mean no company truck to take home every night? Or does it mean you are doing service calls using your personal owned truck? If the latter, I would advise against it. @Ken01 |

No service calls just working in a shop 8 hrs a day and going Home. Just a funny real quick. My 30 plus year old Snap On box has worn locks. Think key won’t work to lock or unlock tool box. So I e mailed Snap On and they are a warrantable item. |

That looks like fun. From the pile of brasss and links that was a fortune. I've never fired a M1919 and read accounts of soldiers who were in MG sections. One man with the tripod who had to throw it down into position, the gunner who ccarried the gun thrn mounted and then the ammo bearer who fed it. Whose gun and what circumstance?

So Ken01, short one man means:
1) one man carries the tripod 2) one man carries the MG 3) one man carries double the normal ammo bearer's load of ammo ???? |

Correct plus ammo, plus all your TA 50 stuff etc. I won’t deny I had fun shooting that thing on a duce and a half and on a tri pod.
I also ruined a barrel. Got in trouble for it too. Worth it. Oh and Graf and hoes in belts always seemed to be cold and wet. (2 German training areas) |

The one I posted doesn't do burst.
The other one, currently in NFA jail does. Hoping for a conjugal visit next weekend. |

One was a M60 gunner who in one intense firefight completely dominated the NVA. He never released the trigger (other GIs ran ammo to his ammo bearer) and the NVA CO had over 100 casualties. He collapsed from exhaustion and his M60 partially rattled apart from overheating. The GIs swept the area and found bodies and blood trails. The medic witnessed the firefight and told the CO who got him the Silver Star. I can get two or three shot bursts on a smg. |

Hello P 2. So I left my current trade and went back ( sort of) my old trade. Other than rush hour traffic at the end of the day. I’m happy.

Played with a sharpening jig and extra coarse diamond stone to clean up the primary bevel on a chisel for a couple of hours. Machine is faster but I want hand skills. Hope to finish today.
This is one of the best videos I've seen on the subject matter. U-toober is Matt Estlea, a graduate from a four year college program in carpentry. His instruction method reminds me of Trinidad College (my gonne smything skool). How To Sharpen a Chisel (The Correct Method) |
