I've been a Pink Floyd fan since before 1975. When I think of Pink Floyd, I think of David Gilmour. It's true Waters was an important force in the group, but I can't help but think of him as Pink Floyd's version of Ringo Starr.
And if Waters is such a big man of the people, why is it "David Gilmour, CBE" and simply "Roger Waters?" It seems the Brit monarchy rewards do-gooders with OBEs, so if Waters is a real do-gooder, where is his OBE? Not that I put any stock in that elitist BS. It used to be if you were wealthy, the king would make you a KG and for that honor you were expected to provide men, horses and resources to help fight his wars. Now you can become a member of the various orders of chivalry by founding a web site that provides directions to the least expensive abortion clinic. Times change.

I saw this concert a few weeks ago in Tacoma WA... it was amazing... the band was really good, they sounding fantastic.
"Pigs" was really the only song that they had all this anti-Trump stuff going for the most part... ironically it was probably the best song they put on... I suspect because that's the one Waters is most passionate about... I knew going in that there would be some anti-Trump vibe, and I understand that Waters is an unhinged lefty... but really it wasn't that big of a deal.... the political stuff they did made me laugh a bit.... I didn't take it too seriously... was there for the music. The show was amazing, the set list was as good as can be imagined....... if you're into Floyd I wouldn't pass it up over this nonsense... they guy's in his mid 70's, prolly doesnt have too many of these left in him... |

Love PF's music but I refuse to see him perform in person. He just played here in Vegas but I stayed home. There was a guy named Brody somethingorother that did The Wall at a small venue and another Arfcommer and I went to that instead. Sounded better (Roger can't sing anymore because he's 90), didn't pay to park, it cost 1/4 of Rogers show AND no liberal political bullshit rammed down my throat every 5 seconds....
