I believe the Netherlands also supplied a few launchers also Good point, it is hard to keep track of all of the donations, and things like extra launchers are useful in making a Patriot battery cover a larger area, as well as have more missiles ready to intercept threats. You can keep adding launchers and make massive batteries if you wanted to, depending on the version of Patriot that is being used. Extra batteries allows for extra radar and defensive coverage areas as well as networking with the other Western air defenses to become more efficient. |

“We are working with the ministry’s services to speed up the process. Initially, 200 Aster were ordered at the beginning of 2023, with the first deliveries scheduled for the end of 2025; now we are working to deliver them by the end of 2024. And for 2025, we will try to deliver much more than planned, about six times more than contractually planned ! The [Miniater of the Armed Forces] wants to have the means to support Ukraine, and MBDA provides essential means to protect forces and populations. It is therefore normal that people turn to us and ask us to produce more and faster. The Aster missile has exceptional capabilities to protect the Ukrainian population from aircraft, but also from ballistic missiles.” — Éric Béranger, @MBDAGroup CEO. View Quote Before the production volume of Aster missiles reaches a very high level for export, maintaining 🇲🇫 stocks and deliveries to 🇺🇦 will remain a priority. “I’m convinced that there will be a very strong demand [for Aster missiles]. I already think that if we had more Aster missiles available today, we would sell a lot more of them. Unfortunately, many countries will want to protect themselves because of the geostrategic tensions that are developing. Everyone sees the extraordinary capabilities of this missile. When we reach higher production rates, we will serve those who come first.” View Quote |

and @giK1893 do on a regular basis. I am working on a longer and more in depth analysis, but here a tiny appetizer. The graphs below show the FPV drones strikes on tanks and BMPs. For sake of brevity I combined all tanks types and BMPs as well. They are classified into three main categories, destroyed, damaged and abandoned. The shear majority of the hits on tanks leads to the vehicle to be damaged, and due to the lack of recovery vehicles this often results in a quadcopter dropping munition to finish the tank/bmp. However, is more correctly to distinguish them. Of the 249 visually identified strikes on tanks, 83% are classified as vehicles being damaged, 13% of the strikes are classified as destroyed vehicles and the remaining abandoned/captured. View Quote
led to abandon or capture of the vehicle. The increasing number of IFVs destroyed is a clear signal of the offensive doctrine adopted by the Russian forces in the early stage of the new year. Thanks to all @tochnyi team for feedbacks and support. See you soon with the full analysis. View Quote |

I really appreciate all the contributors to this thread. I noticed a trend of Russian suicides in Capta' video compilations.
I am aware that Napoleonic soldiers were recorded commiting suicide when facing dehydration in Syria and Egypt. The British have a poems like "When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains, And the women come out to cut up what remains, Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains An' go to your Gawd like a soldier." I am not sure if it is becoming more frequent, or if the events are being recorded and distributed more often. It looks like more suicides have been documented in 2024 than 2022 and 2023 combined. GitHub repository of Russian suicides Are there many other examples of numerous soldiers commiting suicide on the battlefield? |

Are there many other examples of numerous soldiers commiting suicide on the battlefield? Stalingrad, 6th Army. I don't know the numbers, but from the accounts I read suicide was rampant at the last days of the siege. |

Putin does not have that problem, his media is almost completely controlled and only favorable news is what the great majority of people see. The imperialist supporter posting these needs this reminder: Kherson is Ukraine. Zaporozhzhia is Ukraine. Kharkiv is Ukraine. Odessa is Ukraine. Kyiv is Ukraine. Luhansk is Ukraine. Donetsk is Ukraine. Crimea is Ukraine. Ukraine is a free, independent, and sovereign nation. |

There could be sample bias, in that there is more drone video coverage this year than there was last year, leading to more suicides captured on video that previously went unrecorded. But it is also possible that mobiks with no prospects for rotation to Russia for R&R or release from service give up on the war. Putin decreed that mobiks would remain in service until the SMO is over. At this point, even the Russian forces know that is not in the foreseeable future. It's impossible to know which is more likely for the increase in recorded suicides. It is unfortunate that more of those who give up do not decide to take their commanders with them when they check out, since those folks bear much blame for their hopeless situations. |

After putting a good number of rounds through the rifle and cleaning it afterwards, there are a couple of things I can say about it. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and the rifle left a favorable impression. Unlike civilian AR-15 type rifles, which are well-presented on the Ukrainian market, this one does feel very much like a military-grade weapon, even compared to the civilian Z-15. As far as I understand, while Zbroyar started to produce its own barrels at some point, the military-grade rifles were always assembled using DD uppers. This certainly adds to the life span of an average UAR-15. I don't know what the hell UA was thinking issuing KeyMod hand guards. That many dicks in one place will drive the russian troops into a frenzy! Joking aside good on em for the UAR-15. The AR truly is a great rifle.. But I was hoping they'd adopt the Bren 2. That is the sexiest rifle I've seen in a long long time and is the only rifle that makes me want to go shooting again. I just wish to hell I could get my hands on one of the Bren 2's. |
