An ex and i had that song set to memory. We had her little niece in the car with us once and for whatever reason, I had it on my mind and started to mimic the the opening. The ex joined in and we did the whole song together. A mix of singing the words and immitating unstruments. The kid was mesmerized and clapped at the end.

I know, cool starry bra, but it was a good memory. It was a good time.

Man, Steely Dan was awesome. Definitely not run of the mill.

I'll match with another band that take me back to those days. Atlanta Rhythm Section. Obviously not as expert as SD, but i just liked their music.

Me and a few million other fellows had a hard longing for that gal, but she could belt. My personal favorite of hers is this one. Still makes my neck hairs stand when her backup ladies kick in with her.

Ah Yes... 70's music ruled.

Some really great examples here tonight.

Spinning an album was a happening. Every. Single. Time.
The foundation to any party, any kicking back alone time, any "setting the mood" for a date effort. . .

Off topic here, but I bet our new top tier Site Administrator could fix that pesky "Failed To Load Title" Youtube glitch we've had here for a couple years.
Really aggravating.

My second favorite Ronstadt song. It was an old Roy Orbison  song she covered. (This song is technically topic drift from Subnet's "70s" thread intensions here, but she was a 70s chick) She tore the knob off on the vocals.

Subnet, this, i think, was technically late 60s, but it is a 70s song in my mind because i played it so much in the 70s.

A kickass The Band song of a guy talking about his old side piece.

I had to look them up… I’ve never heard this track, and the video has been restored to the point I seriously thought they were a modern throwback band!
