 People dont understand red dots Relevant to everyone here but particularly those of you just learning and struggling a bit with the transition from front sight focus to target focus like @chase45 (not calling you out or anything personal, just wanting to help!). TL;DW: Dry and live fire practice with the optic occluded and both eyes open are invaluable and should be practiced regularly by everyone similarly to dry fire practice. You can occlude the dot by putting opaque tape over the front lens, or if you prefer something a bit sturdier you can find TPU covers for many popular optics that include a front lens cover relatively inexpensively here: https://opticgard.com/ Currently no option for ACRO, MPS, RCR, RMR HD, or any of the SCS sights though |

For an ACRO you could use this neoprene cover and cut out the rear lens to make the reticle visible:

Quick question, first-time RMR owner here.
I've noticed my RM06 gets slowly dimmer each day. I turn it up and it stays that way for a while, but slowly goes dimmer. Do I need a battery? It takes a while to exhibit the dimming, so I'm procrastinating with replacing the battery. |

Gaffers tape. Tears linear and you can reuse the same piece over and over.

I'm brand new to red dot sight (green actually), this is my first and I've owned it for maybe 3 months. Honestly it took me a bit of practice to find the dot on my draw, but I have it down pat now and I'm loving it. I have the Holosun SCS on a G19.5 with factory iron sights and it's my EDC now.
