Hello brothers in arms. Blessed are those who fellowship with us in this thread.

1 COR 4:5
5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

Used my RMRcc wearing Platypus in a 2 gun match for the first time yesterday. Whiskerz is right, a red dot equipped single action 2011 is cheating

MT 13:32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.

I guess the RMRcc verses talk about being little instead of light

How many Scripture-equipped optics do we figure were left in the hands of the Taliban by FJB?  Would qualify as "mysterious ways" if those verses led to some of the "new owners" reading Scripture.

Alright, it’s time for me to rejoin the fold.  I have strayed for far too long and have realized my need for magnification salvation. I am trying to decide how to best atone my sins with either a TA33 w/RMR, TA31 w/RMR, or TA02 w/RMR for my 12.5.

I’ve had both a 33 and 31 in the past but neither with the RMR.  I like the eye relief of the 33, but the magnification and FOV of the 31, and the RMR placement of the 02.   Have mercy on this pathetic soul….

I love the TA33. I was taking my buddy's M4 clone with a TA33 out to 600 yards like it was 25 yards last month. One of my favorite optics.

Correction, it was a TA31 lol.

I love the TA31F/RMR myself. It's great for quick stuff to 100 and great fields of view. For me I'm golden to 400. I've seen guys better than me go out to 800. At 400 I like the larger FOV. If I could only have one optic and attempt to do everything, it would be TA31.

But since I don't need to do that, I might get a TA33/RMR

Not commenting on the model of ACOG, but in my experience, a 10.5 is a blast shooting past 300.

I've gone out to 400 with 12.5 not a problem. My barrel length choices are velocity based. I don't do a lot of CQB so I tend to value keeping the energy myself. My only SBR in the trust is a 9mm and that's because it's fun.

I will probably never own a 556 SBR, and I probably would purchase a 16" rifle if the NFA was gone tomorrow. I use 16" and 18". Everyone has to draw their personal line somewhere, and I'm sure Beamy hates me, but I'm good with 18 over 20

Why not?  Just because it may not fragment, doesn't mean it won't hurt.  And it'll still be WAYYYYYY supersonic at that range.

Of course it was actually the 31...

ETA: I used my 6945 with a TA31/RMR combo out to 500yds regularly as it was my 3 gun rifle for a few years. The crosshair reticle, designed for 62gr from an M4 in meters, matches almost perfectly with 55gr M193 in yards. Finding that out on a 500yd range covered in steel was a pleasant surprise

TA110 with the .308 reticle matches 77gr out of a 16" 5.56 almost perfectly, just saying.

If your concern is non-perfect shooting positions, you will get a great sight picture with that eyebox.

But I am definitely down with the thiccness. How does that balance on the M1A? I almost went with that one and I still might for my Loaded. I think it would be too much for my SOCOM and way too big for the Tanker.

Do it. Getting the RMR up that high also makes for nice passive aiming through NVGs. Some say the rear biased RMR hits their tube, but I just extend the stock all the way and have no issues. I shoot one click in from all the way open for NTCH for the ACOG, FWIW.

It sucks honestly... It makes the package ridiculously heavy and "off balance".  It's a great optic. Just not on an M1A.  That being said, I did discover something in the process of "playing" with optics on it.  If you want to mount any optic that was designed for an M16 carry handle, check ebay for an AN/PVS-4 M-14 mount.  That worked great and mounted the optic much lower than a normal M1A mount.

Recently got an aimpoint pro and waiting for the mount.  Going more for a Shughart/GWOT vibe on it.

Recently got an aimpoint pro and waiting for the mount.  Going more for a Shughart/GWOT vibe on it.

I’ve got a PVS4 mount that I was debating pairing with one of those big girls. I may just go with another TA11 based on what you’re saying. Or maybe pull the TA11 off my SOCOM and put the MRO and magnifier on the SOCOM.

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
