Seemed pretty packed to me, there were a some empty seats. Seems like a lot of people leave for concessions or bathroom in the middle of the period a lot more than they used to though.

They played the first game of the Jersey game very well and then kind of got picked apart and outworked, but last night was a perfect home opener. It's only 2 games but 8-1, and 4-3 wins over Edmonton is a pretty good start. It's not like Edmonton is a crappy team, they had 50 wins last year. Taking my daughter to her first NHL game next week.
The Lightning do a good job creating a fun atmosphere for fans. I have to ref two rugby games earlier that day. I'm sure I'll be worn out, but I'm looking forward to it. She is amped. |

GO LEAFS GO!!!! Matthews is back to being healthy and looks to be on a mission. The addition of Reaves has been nice. The whole team is playing with more jam and nastiness that I've never seen from this group before. Going to be a fun year. Just hope that my heart doesn't get ripped out at the end if the year like always

I wish San Antonio still had a hockey team. $1 beer and Hotdog night was a hoot. Watching the snowbirds get shitfaced and act out in the stands was entertaining, not to mention the hockey players fighting in the ring. They made MLB look like a bunch of pussies with their bench clearing chest bumping dances.
I always thought the blood stains on the ice was a nice touch. |

Been entertaining. Surprised Spectrum is showing the game down here and not some BS PBR or Soccer re run. ETA At home, it looked offsides. I get the argument of what the refs need, conclusive proof. Think the Wings won this one..

Finally the Blues play again. Its been a long 5 day wait. Luckily Binner is standing on his head in goal. They need to find a way to get pucks at the net. I know they're transitioning to a more defensive style but offense needs to step up.
