Ok...today was dedicated to cross training. Only did 300 push-ups (can't believe I'm saying 'only')
Got in a short run this morning. Did air squats Did pull ups Did lots of dumbell curls Tried doing pullups with a 25 lb chest rig. Did two sets of 25 pushups with same chest rig Wore my rig for about 45 minutes while doing curls and other stuff. Great day....lots of activity...big steak dinner...and excited for a weekend with more exercises planned. Keep after the target boys. |

Cut a tree down to bits. Only 85*F, but I felt the sun suck the energy out of me for the first time this year. Had supper with Ma. Loaded ammo for Da tomorrow.
I'll need to makeup tomorrow. |

No pushups yet today...started the day with pullups, then moved a dresser up 3 flights of stairs, and just wrapped up a 3-mile walk with 35 lbs in my chest rig. Feeling pretty good. Sore from yesterday's dumbell exercises, but should still manage to get in some pushups later.

I'm gonna do 20 before a crash nap.

So apparently that walk earlier kicked my ass a lot harder than I thought. After I cooled off from the walk I tool a shower, sat in a chair in my bedroom, and fell asleep.
Slept for probably two hours. It then hit me just how sore I was from yesterday's weights and pullups. About 15 minutes ago I basically decided that I wasn't doing any oushups today and would just heal. Came here to post that, read a few posts, and realized that doing nothing was not acceptable. If you guys are putting in the effort, so am I. Took a look at my stats and saw that I needed another 200 to get to 37,000......so I just did 200, and I'm at 37,000 YTD. Will now rest and get ready for another day. |

Still trying to prep for the Murph and focused on that.
Today I changed it up a bit- In a 15# vest, 25 push ups, 30 air squats, walk 1/3 mile, 25 push ups, 30 air squats, jog 1/3 mile, repeated this for a total of 3 miles. Got in the rest of the push ups to get to 500 on the day and 10x5 pull ups after dinner. Keep Grinding |

Managed to not crash.

(10 days ago it was zero) Been doing sets of pullups...just trying to get to sets of 5 consistently. One day at a time. Did a lot of bicep work, a set of squats, and knocked out 150 more pushups to get to 250 for the day. My pushup cou is have fallen as I focus on my weaker areas. Will need to step it back up in May to keep the 10k per month streak going. Time for rest. Grind forward men. |

I reached 17,000 yesterday. 5 sets of 50 throughout the day.
Today being Sunday, it is a new week. My plan is to execute 1500 reps through Thursday, and the same the following week to reach 20,000. Tonight's first set of 50 was done at 2045. Forgot to time it. 2nd set at 2052. 0:42. 3rd set at 2100. 0:39. 4th set at 2108. 0:40. 5th set at 2116. 0:40. And the concluding set at 2124. 0:38. 17,300 YTD. |

That went out the door when I mowed the lawn and ended up starting tonight's sets later than I wanted to. |

You guys are crushing it, nice work.
I knocked out 300 push ups this AM and did a 'casual' Murph to see where I stand as we get closer to Memorial Day. I finished the Murph in 1:02:51, a respectable time but I had two cheat codes. 1- no weighted vest 2- I used a light band for the pull ups. Clearly I need to focus on the pull ups, at this point I can do 10x6 and need to get the reps up to 10 over the next 4 weeks. All in all, I'm pretty stoked I finished in a decent time, I should be in a good spot to be ready for Memorial Day if I Keep Grinding. |

View Quote Run wise, I should be around d 10 minute miles wearing the weight vest. Pushup wise, 200 isn't too big of a deal. For pullups, I'm really struggling with those, and that's with no added weight. Not sure I'm going to be able to do 100 with the vest on. But...there is still about 7 weeks to see how far I can push this, so maybe. Realistically, I just want to finish it and not cheat on any aspect of it. |

Still working on the Murph training, 500
push ups this A.M. Did 3 miles in a 15# vest, walked the 1st and 3rd, jogged the 2nd mile. Did 5x7 pull ups and 5x8 chin ups, no vest though. I'm confident in my ability to finish the Murph but have some serious work to do to get up to 10x10 pull ups in the vest, I really need to focus on this. Keep Grinding |
