Q3 is tomorrow The full race on the utter shitty track surface could be interesting. No idea how tire wear is going to be. There shouldn’t be rain for the rest of the week end. It just came in time to screw up the usual suspects |

Btw, another stupid decision by the Marshalls,
The rules says that if you aren’t on track in the last corner your current lap time get cancelled, but also your next one. That’s why Norris lap was cancelled. BUT they went into micro sectors and saw that he didn’t gain any time. But if you do that, then why cancelling verstappen lap ? He didn’t gain any time either. Just apply the fucking rules and stop making exception when you feel like it |

The sprint race is going to have some overtakes for sure. The faster cars and drivers are P4-9 on the grid. It will be interesting to see how tires hold up throughout the weekend.

View Quote Apparently the rule about the next lap is not a general rule and varies from track to track. From this track missing the last corner does not automatically cancel the next lap. So Norris lap should have never been cancelled. Yet another complication that isn’t necessary. Make the rules equal everywhere. Because even the marshals are confused |

Just watched sprint quali while eating lunch.
As the late Harry Carey would say ‘Holy Cow!!!’ Going to be a fun sprint Appears they painted the track with a super gloss paint 😁 |

LOL at the trackside grass spontaneously combusting.
|
|
|
Its almost like they painted the track with a Sealant or something. The way the cars were slipping all over the place was super abnormal with the amount of rain that was there.
They should have either repaved the entire thing, or grinded the damn track down which would have made tire wear worse. |

Did they paint the grass green with some type off flammable product and sparks from the planks are catching it on fire? I’m waiting for the overhangs for the stands to fall. The Harbor Freight Race Circuit of Shanghai will be interesting but the rest of the weekend is supposed to be dry. Max will have to work for a win starting where he is.

This track is fucking garbage. They are slipping all over the damn place.

Sounds like Max messed up on his setup with the steering wheel. Not getting to use the battery by being in the wrong mode.

So Max gained what12.5 seconds in 8-9 laps? Wow…

Interview audio messed up for anyone else?
They just gave Max a new mic, must have been for everyone. |

A bit surprised that some of the cars started the race on used tires.

Perez made it by the skin of teeth, wonder if this is the beginning of his decline similar to last year…
Got a chuckle out of Lewis’s engineer when Lewis apologized for getting dropped in Q1, ‘No worries Lewis… lol |
