To me pit stops is all about training and consistency, and your team's budget isn't a massive factor.

So how does Red Bull pull these consistently fast stops while so many other teams are just slow?  Or horribly inconsistent?

I've noticed that too. Haven't paid attention to Williams lately, but they used to be the exception. They were usually pretty quick.

I wonder at what point, if any, will Lawrence Stroll get tired of Lance costing him money. The guy is loaded, but he must have to shake his head at times.

The real sonofabitch with Red Bull is that once somebody catches them with car development, they are going to have to deal with their strategy and pit stops.

Crazy.

Japan - 2.1s, 2.1s, 2.1s, 2.0s
China - 2.1s, 2.0s, 1.9s, 2.0s

This guy could out drive Stroll and Logan with ease.

Lol, Lando bet he'd be 30s behind the Ferrari's.

This was not Ferrari's weekend. Although they did finish ahead of their starting positions after falling below their
starting positions, so not a bad result, but never really showed much "strength" this weekend.

Fernando is a machine. That save out of the last turn was nuts, then just to completely collect yourself and blow
by the pouting 7x champ a couple corners later was great stuff.

Lance has zero place in this sport. But I've said that for years. Just another data point today.

Max spanking everyone as usual, including his own team mate. And a 1.9s stop!?

I was hoping for a good showing by Danny Ric but Stroll ass raping him messed that up. Up to that point it looked like he could have scored points and was performing better than Yuki as well.

Got to see a glimpse of the old Yuki as well but he did get handed a soup sandwich and rightly so was angry.

How long is K Mag going to be in?   The sport looks the other way when he slows in corners for 3/4 the race to keep folks from passing him, but if Alonso does it, it’s worse than a sex crime.

Today he blows a country mile to take out Yuki and gets to keep racing.   When are they going to just start Parking cars for bullshit.

Lance too.   What a clown.   And it was not anyone brake checking.  He just came in too hot to a slow turn

Sainz to Red Bull on a 2-3 year deal, Perez to MB on a 1 year deal.

I don't think RBR will match or beat Audi's offer to grab Sainz when they have a perfectly good #2 driver.  This assumes Checo doesn't fall apart later this season but I have a feeling Sainz's '25 season will be decided by then.

It all depends if Carlos prefers the “Ricciardo gamble” of chasing money or a higher probability of winning.

I don’t think we can deny at this point that Red Bull wants Sainz if he is available at a certain rate. The Mercedes seat is a one and done dead end with Antonelli coming in. They will need to hire someone who is willing to take the option knowing there is a high probability it will be their last year in F1.

That makes zero sense.  Perez is doing exactly what Red Bull pays him to do.  Be a solid second in the points while not making VER look bad.

He came in 3rd today while driving what is clearly the fastest car on the grid.  If things were closer, that lack of pace could put the constructors championship in jeopardy, say in 2026 when the formula changes.

I get the impression Lance doesn't have many friends in the paddock.  He's usually not palling around with anyone and you don't hear drivers saying anything about him.

Perez has had a 5th place finish in a damaged car, a 3rd place podium yesterday, and finished 2nd in every other race.  He hardly has a "lack of pace" and missing out on 2nd was more due to strategy and the safety car than Checo's driving.  Lando nursed those tires better than anyone expected.

Zhou Guanyu having his own little spot to park on the straight behind the podium winners might be the lamest thing I’ve seen in F1

In reference to Perez, it appears to my unprofessional, armchair qb on Monday eyes that he struggles moving through and passing traffic consistently.

When i watch some of the other drivers; Sainz, Fernando, Norris, it appears Perez lacks the same  confidence to get in there and make a move consistently.

Just one man’s opinion - thoughts?

At least he isn’t at the other end of the spectrum and like Stroll. 🤪 ( if he was he wouldn’t be on the team)

Considering he is the first ever Chinese F1 driver in history, in his first ever home race, I give the theatrics a bit of a pass.
I thought it was a decent gesture, considering the above.
