A few people have asked about a campfire. Currently we are planning to shuttle some water up to the site for extinguishing a fire. Not 100% yet but very likely. Would be weird to have a Cola without a campfire. While we're on the subject of water, I suggest participants bring one gallon of water per person per day you plan to be there.

View Quote 3 gallons is only 25lbs assuming you bring it in jugs. Any decent ruck sack can handle 50lbs, so realistically you've got 25lbs for hydration and 25lbs for your needs for the weekend. I've rucked a 50lb pack many miles and was fine with less than a gallon a day. It's not THAT far from parking to camp. We'll have pictures up before the event anyway so the victims can understand what they're in for before they pack. |

Perhaps we will be blessed with summer rains and can collect some to replenish our withered bodies. Also, you can survive 2-3 days without water. That means you really only need water for like half of an event. Eat dehydrated meals like peeps and tortillas. Don’t waste your water cooking stupid food. I know I personally drink almost an entire case of bottled water daily at work during the heat of summer. That's what I'm planning on consuming for this. I'm bringing 4 cases for myself. If I have leftovers so be it.
