Starting at at least 3000 ft helps a lot, and there’s tons of places with low light pollution.  It will be hazy again not to far off, I’m sure the fires and smoke are coming.

Solar does ok down here, but w/ the cheap electric, it doesn't make much sense to install it.

The wife just tried to talk to me from the office while I'm laying in bed then didn't answer my response. So I called the house phone that's right next to her rather than getting up.

Its been a long day.

Work also called me to cancel a mandatory work thing that they never told me about to begin with. It was a very confusing conversation.

My wife woke up Saturday morning
and decided to complain about everything.

Solution?

Get out of Dodge and take your kids shooting.

My sons and I went to my brother's place on a
mountain and enjoyed the day.

Drove down to Rolla yesterday and must have seen atleast 30 dead armadillos on the road. They sure have been moving in.

They began by falling off of trucks hitchhiking, every year you could see the progress by seeing them as road kill. Now the little bastages are everywhere. fortunately there is not a breeding pair here yet.

The other destructive invader are the beavers. Holy fuck they can build some dams quick. And they are cutting down river birch like they own it, and in Missouri they do. HA!

You have moved up the ladder.  Don't subject the grads to ChatGPT, they'll know.  You do important work for the county, just be blunt but polite about it.

I can't argue that, but at least we had one member here fight back
against Fairfax County's unlawful denial of his CHP, and he won -
in an anti-2A jurisdiction.

We should have Constitutional carry, but we'll never get it if it's
left up to NoVa's Karens and effeminate "men."

Texas used to have a 5.5" blade length limit and "Not a Bowie Knife" restriction on carry knives that we have mostly gotten rid of - but not for knives carried into schools, hospitals or bars.  So I'm on my second chopped Luzon down from 6" to a <5.5" tanto point, slowly making mods to this one to have a slimmer blade & a shorter handle.  Not a finished product by any means.

The other blade is a Cold "Steel" plastic 5" boot dagger, and I cut off one of the edges, b/c a two edged dagger is again, not legal for bar carry.

With a Dremel.    @Jeffb1911 fixed most of my worst grinding, then I went and hacked on it again.  I want a slimmer blade all together in the end - but I'm starting to realize it will a bit off center to the folding hilt.  But it'll also be quite a bit smaller than what I started w/, as I'll be able to trim the handle as well.  It opens very quickly w/ the thumb as it is, and I didn't need the one on the opposite side.

For the same reason the 11'8" + 8" bridge keeps getting hit - the states give idiots driver licenses.

Thursday it hailed like crazy. Never have I seen 3" hail before.

Lucky to have most of my vehicles under roof. My CUCV is under a camo tarp and has holes in it. Hope the windshield is not broke, it was new when I got it at Ft.Riley.
