Cheesy Dreams

An earlier version, didn't quite have the sound I was looking for but the image it generated was interesting:

The wife and kids had an idea, let's do real songs about our family.

This is very accurate!

What would you type to make a song sound like 70's Pink Floyd?

It's hard to get specific sounds. We're probably missing something. I just now saw the three dot drop down menu that has a lot of stuff on it. Maybe there?

Psychodelic, 70s, progressive rock with sax and organ???

Lol, I was working on Star Trek themed songs and "heavy and aggressive klingon emo rock" is an actual music type. To bad it does not translate to Klingon.

Yeah. I've written a couple "pointed" prompts and it manages to take things in the opposite direction of my intent.

Not sure if I'm just not understanding how it thinks, or it has been programmed to go in politically correct directions.

This is hilarious, very impressive tech.

This was my prompt.

"a melodic folk song about a Shetland sheepdog named Noah, who has fallen in love, but because he has been castrated, he can not have babies, because he has no balls."

[Verse]
In a quiet town
There was a sheepdog named Noah
With eyes as bright as the moon
And a heart full of sorrow
He roamed the hills
With a gentle soul so kind
But deep inside
There was something he couldn't find

[Verse 2]
He met a fair lady
With a graceful smile so sweet
Her presence brought light
And made his heart skip a beat
But Noah's love
It couldn't bloom like the flowers
For he had been castrated
Stripped of his powers

[Chorus]
Noah's love
It was pure and true
But without his balls
There was nothing he could do
He longed to hold her close
To start a family tree
But fate had its way

Noah's Love.

Nice I was trying to make a funny Christmas song about Rudolph freezing his balls of in Arizona, but it would never add balls to the song. Guess because to you added castration to your prompt.... Maybe Rudolph getting castrated soon too.

I like it, did you add the talking at the end on purpose? I had a few that add it for some reason.

I was waiting on my fried rice the other day, needless to say it arrived after everyone else was done. Made this while waiting.

This is going to be very interesting once they open up the prompts to have no limits on how long it can be, and when they allow it to be integrated with music production software.

It is already impressive, but I think that is a reflection on how shit modern music is. If you listen to the global top 100 on Apple or Spotify, some of the songs posted here already sound comparable.

If they allow the prompts to include music production terminology with references to songs, it will be a bit of a legal minefield regarding copywriting laws, but it's going just to keep improving.
