I use a padlock tied with orange paracord through the hole on my front brake lever. I had one issue where the lock got caught in my crocks while riding off road on some fire roads deep in Maine. Right after that happened I removed the front brake lines. I don't want to be flipped over the front bars again.

If I'm close enough to a vehicle to use one of those stupid "get back whips" my hands are going to be on the bars where they belong moving the bike away from said vehicle.
