They tried to blame 3 states losing their 911 system on a construction crew cutting 1 fiber line while installing a traffic light. How does 1 fiber run near a street light shut down 911 operations in 3 states? 1 - Bad network design. Probably legacy equipment that wasn't configured properly. 2 - Lack of redundant communications methods. A backdoor on shitty telco system is better than nothing. |

On 911. My bet is when the circuit was provisioned it was diverse pathed and redundant and over the last 10 years it ceased to be because all of the people at the telco who would know are gone. Option 2 would be that they bought 2 circuits from different carriers to get redundancy and the carriers were using the same infrastructure. I have personally seen both of these happen causing failures but not on 911 or FAA/life safety circuits but I bet it could and will happen there as well.

If its SaS 911 software somebody got a kickback. Thats immediately what I thought- There was a hack into 911 related software. Cyber security for PSAPs is becoming a huge deal because it isn't just local phone lines tied into an old 911 system anymore, it aint the 90's |

Stacking them on their sides like that, tells you these folks are imbeciles. I’d trust my Wavian cans to not leak if placed on their sides, but I STILL would not lay them on their sides, much less STACK them on their sides. Those plastic pieces of shit? I bought ONE of those years ago. They SUCK. On a hot day, the shed would smell like gas fumes. The Wavians OTOH, left in a black SUV in the sun by the river, and there was NO gas smell whatsoever, despite the interior of the SUV getting hot enough that the blast of hot air from opening the door, felt like opening an oven door. |

Helping our enemies spread their propaganda is dumb. Very dumb. While it may be true information about the FBI, it isn't their propaganda. Controlled opposition is a hallmark of the KGB and the FBI. Also I don't think anyone here would help the FBI spread their propaganda for love or money. |
