I think of many, many people from my past when I hear a song.  I don't know why by I very frequently associate music with people, and I suspect many people do the same.

That's not mutually exclusive. I was outside all day on the weekends and after school on weekdays. Bikes, fishing, exploring, camping, playing with neighbor kids, etc.. Great core memories from all that, but I also have great memories from watching tv & movies and listening to music.

In the 80s there used to be a LONG time in between movies on HBO.  They had a million trailers, this Braingames short video thing, and music videos from movie soundtracks.  This one was dope...original Steve Perry Journey was really something else.

Certainly not from me.  The 80's ushered in mainstream popularity of "artists" who couldn't even play a note on a musical instrument or actually sing.

RUN DMC - Walk This Way (Official HD Video) ft. Aerosmith

Of course the 80's also gave us this  and called it art so I guess rhythmic talking qualifies as music.

Overwhelmingly sad, those were good times. Wish my kids could have grown up then to enjoy the malls and state fairs.
