(un)Patented drum lid valve stem protectors.

For those of you with 24" rim diameters who work in the woods I highly recommend this. Thread the wheel weight attachment holes in the wheel 3/4-10 , install threaded rod for stand offs, some 3/8 fuel line too snug the outer diameter, put the bung over the valve for service.

Nothing worse than shearing of a valve with a fluid filled tire in an area completely inaccessible. After this happened to me the first time, it never happened again. (*was in the tire business and saw sheared valves countless times)

I'd suggest filling the loader bucket with anything heavy if you're going to drive it very far, and especially on roads.  That's a lot of weight hanging off her ass end and when she gets to bucking it can get hairy really fast.

Daddy (RIP) on the JD5205. Photo is from 2 years ago, but it’s the same tractor, and the same land.

I had it out at the land this past week and used it to rip up a fence line that runs in the middle of the property, just behind our house pad. I might not be strong enough to pull that fence out of the tree line, but Mr Front End Loader don’t give a fuck about 3 “ trees that grew through the panels and barbed wire.

By hand, I was getting a couple panels an hr (by myself), with the Tractor, I pulled up 10x that much.

I like that idea!

However my 6065 has 30" rears. I suppose I could do the 24" on the fronts though.

But I do need to get something to protect the valve stems . I'm sure I could get some 1/8" or even 1/4" steel and  cut a circle and bolt it up like that.

I just bought a poly PTO spreader for my 2025R.  So much easier to spread fertilizer and seed now.  Not only does my yard look great, I no longer have to kill myself spreading stuff manually.

A lot of nice grapples in here.  It's one of my favorite implements.

Out of curiosity, why do you find the Toolcat more useful?

Seems like a small truck bed with a FEL? Also, my quick Googling shows them to be VERY expensive.

EDIT:

Dang, a new UW56 is like $90k. You can buy a hell of a tractor for that.

That’s the neighbor I sold it to. He shares it between him for his tree business and his dad for property management.

It was nice having a neighbor with a wood chipper and we traded work with each other.

I need to fix mine....one of the welds on one of the tabs is cracking.

I filled mine with concrete....think I used 7.5 60 lb bags....so including the weight of the box, I think I'm close to 600 lbs. Totally different tractor with the ballast box (in a good way).

I also turned up my hydraulic pressure.

Same, but mine are mounted inboard.

With loaded tires, that will make it a bit more complicated to check pressure/add air.  If I ever feel like doing that, that is.

They're protected on the fronts too, but mounted outboard.

Love my grapple. Just got through using it to pile a tree top that broke off in a storm. As kid, we'd have to wait for dad to cut it up then load it in trailer then unload it on the pile. Now just drive in position, close the hand and take the whole thing off in one piece.

Thats very nice, if my neighbor a mile away didnt have a big JCB backhoe I might have went that way. We trade out and drink beer together. If he needs a grapple or a tiller, I go do that. If I need a stump dug up or other backhoe job, he helps me out.

Hes single and retired. So if I smoke ribs or a pork butt I always cook some extra for him.

He also has a 20 acre TVA water shed lake on his property. I go fish whenever I want, and split my catch.

Those Kubota TLBs are nice. More than just a tractor with a loader and backhoe, they're more purpose built to be "almost" commercial equipment. Last few years I looked hard at the M62, but both new and used prices are ridiculous on them, so I went with a used John Deere 410. More machine for less money.

IMO, if you do any work in tight wooded trails, that's a bad spot for a saw.

Way to easy to snag on something and break.

Sure is convenient though.

I made this one out of composite deck boards(having a house built).

It is also in a vulnerable position, so I'm going to move it a bit once the trails harden up enough to drive them.

Before that, I had this on the ROPS.  Flops around too much.  Was great for a brush axe/machete though.  Now I've just got it sitting in the garage.

I bought an m59 in 2010 then an m62 in 2016. Great machines and easy to tow at 9300lb. There’s a lot I miss about them. Switched to a  mini x.  If they come out with a factory cab, not that Curtis cab thing, I may switch back.
