Sarcasm towards Resident Evil & Underworld but very serious for Terminator & Alien. I think the main difference in those who do or don’t like Aliens depends on if they view the original Alien as a horror movie or as science fiction. I see Alien as one of the best horror movies ever made. Anything afterwards would be a disappointment. |

Sharknado!
It got cheated out of a Best Picture award. Sad, because the rest were ass, except when Fabio played the Pope. |

American Graffiti
The sequel is so bad it ruins the way you remember or rewatch the first movie. Star Trek should have skipped the 1st movie and quit after the second (Khaaaaan!!!) |

I admittedly am not a big sci-fi fan anyway, but do like a select few. I’ve never seen or cared to see any of Star Wars movies after Return of the Jedi, so I’m sure I’m in the minority with that. |

Having endured sitting through part of the most recent travesty with a date, I'll throw in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. The original was kind of a cult classic, #2 was bad, and #3 was outright terrible, desperately trying to find the same mojo that made the original a hit and failing hard. It was so embarrassingly awful and formulaic that we left 2/3rds of the way through.

The three Lord of the Rings movies were amazing. Even if Fellowship should have on Best Picture if we're evaluating in a vacuum. And with the legit complaints about truncating the story, making characters comic relief, overuse of CGI, etc. The Hobbit movies are hammered dogshit. The movie actually melted/broke during 2, and we both said we were good, no need to come back. Still haven't seen 3, which I understand is even worse. |

It's already been mentioned but Anchorman 2 was bad.
Super Troopers 2 (whatever it was called) was bad. Avatar 2 was bad and pointless. All it did was eat up 3.5 hours and leave all the doors open for a third. |

Edited all 3 movies down to 4 hours, cutting out the stuff that's not in the book. Results in a little bit of weirdness, but *much* more watchable for a Tolkien fan. |
