I wonder if police with binoculars = sniper? Getting an elevated view of a crowd seems like a smart idea to me.
I doubt a random campus police department has anyone well trained enough to pop rounds into a crowd. Pics of rifle or this is fake news. |

Intel driven.
These protests are riddled with CIs and UC officers who provide information that's processed into actionable Intel. Signals intelligence is also providing a wealth of information. The Intel points to the fact that there may be a kinetic piece to this protest. The snipers are a visible asset sending a message to the protesters but 100% there are other assets that are also prepositioned. |

Can't help but see these protests and feel like it's a big dress up like playing cowboys and Indians. People pretending to be hamas terrorists, others pretending to be IDF terrorists. Everyone knows it will do nothing but it's a fun shouting / dress-up game and if you make yourself to look hard enough maybe you will impress a lady. One big ME cosplay; 99% of it is glamour shots for the 'gram, and then there's the 1% of psychopaths on rooftops salivating about recreating Kent State since they were too chickenshit to ever go into the sandbox.

These same folks “protest” everything that gets them attention and goes against the grain. Doesn’t matter the topic, if it gets attention or stirs the pot they immediately become 100% dedicated to it. It’s not uncommon for them to be at college football games glassing the crowd with binos with a rifle set up on a tripod next to them. |
