I have one. The responsible side of me knows I should probably have a 365 instead, but I’ve just had too many bad experiences with Sig over the years. I’d rather have 7-8 rounds that I KNOW will work than 10+ that I’m 99 percent confident in.

I don’t carry it much though, as I’ve found that if I can conceal it, I can usually conceal the G48 just as easily. The 43 and LCP are reserved for times when max discretion is required.

I got one , I like it . Little 6 shooter disappears no matter what you are wearing. Glock 19 picks up most of my daily carry duties but the 43 serves a purpose. Mostly summer time shorts and t shirt weather or runs to the local grocery/ convenience store or anytime I prefer a deeper level of concealment.

All I have carried 24/7 for as long as they have existed.

As others have said, obsolete due to newer pistols.

That said, I have one and I would LOVE for someone to make a .22LR conversion kit for it and am really surprised that no one has done so yet.

I prefer my G43X.

I recently traded another gun for a G43.
Turns out it chokes (nose dive Failure to Feed) with Federal HST 124gr.
Works fine with 115gr FMJ.

I'm holding on to it for now and might put the slide on a PSA Micro Dagger Frame or trade it.

I'll probably pick one up eventually. I have little interest in the 365, probably because they are so heavily touted, which is a silly reason.

The 36 and 48 scratch my single stack Glock itch.

Came for real G43. They're a lot of fun, really cool rifles. But Garand > G43.

I shoot the 42 so much better, I either carry the 26 or 42.

For me, the 42 does everything better than the 43. I am more accurate, faster follow up shots, smaller and lighter.

Havnt carried my 43 in long while. Im probably going to sell it….some day

The only and original G43. It's a shame we're probably never going to see those cheap Soviet-capture G43s. If they actually exist.

My CR920 is the same size and holds 10 rounds with the flush fit magazine. It’s like a 43/43x hybrid, best of both worlds.

I had when they first came out but switched to the 43X when that got released.  I ended up trading my 43 for a Tag Heuer watch at a local pawn.

I was checking out a full on custom 43 yesterday at a local shop for cheap.  Don't really need it, but I could drop the optic ready slide onto my 43X.

My little 42 runs like a sewing machine in my hands, but has experienced malfunctions with every female I've let shoot it. Same with the 42 my one daughter had. I'd shoot hers, fine. She'd shoot hers and mine, jammomatics. She sold hers.

My conclusion is the little G42 is not suitable as a "woman's gun".

My other daughter recently purchased herself a P365. It's the model with that strange Isreali dot sight. She loves the thing and is decently accurate with it.

The Glock 43 is better when you also own a Glock 48 so you can mix and match to have all 4 configs (G43, G48, G43X, G48X).

Shot my stock g43 just yesterday. For my money it's a darn near perfect carry gun. I have some plus 2 mags for reloads, but in my normal (very low crime) environment, I feel fine with 6+1 Hornady critical defense. Stick in in a DeSantis pocket holster or a hybrid iwb, and you're off.

A lot of people crap on the regular 43, but it's not really the same gun as the 43X.  A 43 with a pearce plus one is 8 rounds in a light compact package.  Once you extend the grip and add in 8 more rounds you are adding a good bit of weight.  I always considered getting a 43x frame at some point, but I'm not as interested as time goes on.  I might get a PSA micro frame when they have the eventual $49 dollar blow out sales.

I dismissed the 43x for years because I can get pretty damn close to the 10+1 in my 43, but lately, the aftermarket magazines have given me second thoughts on the 43x.  I actually carry my 26 with a 17rd reload more than my 43 these days,

I absolutely will not get a 365 variant solely based on I just cannot trust it.  I’m just afraid the same may end up being true with the aftermarket magazines for the Glock as well.

I carry AIWB too and the SCD is a must with all of my Glocks, which is another reason I don’t see myself carrying any other brand, no matter what their size vs. capacity features may be.

I have the following Glocks: 17, 22, 26, 27, 42, 43, 43x, 48.

43X pictured is my overall favorite. If the 48 I have wasn't a gift that is engraved, I would give it away. Thats how much I dislike it.

The PSA 15rd mags have been flawless in my G43x. I know they had some issues at the start, but they seem to have been fixed now. They’re better than the Shield Arms mags and they don’t require you to swap your mag release out.

I’ve got a few hundred through the 3 mags I have with zero stoppages. I trust them for carry now.

Went back and picked-up the 43.  At $630 OTD, I couldn't say no.  A quick search of the Glock Store that put this together, shows the 43X version selling for $1700+.  This has an optic, N/S, Light, trigger job, etc.  And it drops right on my 43X.

I carry a G43 mostly but I'll soon be replacing it for an FN 509ct once I get a better holster for it. I'm also trying out an FN Reflex. In my opinion the G43 has become obsolete at least for me. I sacrificed capacity for comfort and now with the Reflex I get both.

Good to know.  Thanks for the feedback.  I do like the Vickers Mag release and really didn’t want to give it up for the Shield mags, either.

Anyone know the availability of the USA vs Austria 43x MOS variants?  If I buy a European gun maker, I prefer a made in Europe gun.  I’ve just had bad experiences with USA made guns of other other companies in the past.

I built a P80 one, but it’s the least reliable P80 I’ve built and I can’t trust it enough to carry it.

It’s either a G42 for really light clothing or in a belly band if going to the gym or a G19 and extra mag if I’m wearing anything beyond a T-shirt and shorts.

Also have a P80 G26 in the rotation for when my clothing is a little heavier, but I’m not wearing a jacket or the like and the G19 would print.

Gave mine to my wife when I bought a g43x for next to nothing from a buddy moving back to NY. Never really carried the g43 seemed pointless when I had a p365. I carry the G43x with 15rnd magazines all the time.

I had a 43x but needed something smaller. Went to a couple shops to get a 43 and wound up with a 365. I like it as much as my 43x but it conceals better and holds more rounds.

I'm tempted to get a 42 and 43 when I see them used for cheap but I don't need them. I probably will one day I won't lie.

I like my 43 but not thrilled with the capacity.  It has been outclassed by the 365 and Hellcat.  If I had it to do over again, I'd just go with the 26.

To me  there's just no reason to consider any single stack 9mm with less than 10+1.  It's why I bought the Sig P365.

But now after 4 yrs of carrying it I've come to dislike the 365 because of the skimpy grip. With my Hogue $10 rubber slip on grip on my 365 I can get a decent 2 hand grip on it, but still NOT get a proper grip like I can on the G26, 27, 33.

I'm 5'10". I have longer fingers than some guys, but its not like I have long skinny freaky  hands and fingers. I don't know how you guys with bigger frames and hands properly control that Sig 365. The Sig 365 isn't a whole lot better than the grip on a Walther PPK/s we all use to conceal back in the day.

So funny, I have had the same experience with my women folk limp-wristing the 42 and getting FTEs.  As you said, runs like a sewing machine in my hands though.
