Hops or clp for cleaning depending how dirty.
Frog lube for exposed metal for the slight added anti corrosion aspect of it and tri flow for the rails and guts. Salt air does some amazing shit and depending where at I have seen it eat just about everything. |

Gun solvent and gun lube threads on gun forums are always a hoot!
Me? Extra virgin olive oil. And Land o’ Lakes unsalted butter for rails. True story! |

Lucas extreem gunoil and Mobile 1 aviation grease the red stuff.
We go through it by the truck load in the shop. |

After cleaning and lubing with Breakfree, after a few months in the safe, the guns would be bone dry. Since using Mobil 1, gun stays wet for years. Also, the Mobil 1 seems to keep most carbon from firing in suspension. You wipe off the dirty lube and almost all the carbon goes with it. |

General use I've been using Eezox. For grease I have some TW25b, usually just a few dabs on pistol rails.
I ordered some Cherry Balmz 5 years ago, I got an email it will ship in 2 weeks. Can't wait to try it out! |

For lubricants, hoppes 9 because of my tippmann model 98 growing up.

I can buy a quart for what a 4 ounce bottle of gun oil costs. This is the way. Once upon a time, on this very forum, there were people insisting that this would have some negative effects. I have guns I've owned for decades now, with tens of thousands of rounds through them that are still fine. I've been using motor oil and wheel bearing grease on them. I use brake cleaner to clean them, too. It's all good. |

They want you disarmed, because they know they are guilty of things for which they should be shot.

Usually any combo of MIL-G 40063 (amassed many cans of it by accident) and Outers gun oil (bought tons of it when I was young and poor). They’ve always worked well. I’ve got tons of other stuff in the cabinet but I always return to these two

Hoppes #9 and Shooter's Choice for cleaning, CLP for lube.
Shooter's Choice grease for the Garands and M1As. |
|
Ask the Indians (casino, not curry) if immigration laws are important.
|
Hoppe’s #9 for cleaning.
Lucas extreme oil year round on pistols and rifles. CLP on my semi auto shotguns in the winter. Lucas oil causes the bolts to be sluggish and not cycle reliably enough for clays competitions. |

Mobil 1

Hoppes bore cleaner & elite gun oil.
Expensive ass clock oil for long term storage. |

Lube? Royal Purple 50 weight. A quart has lasted a long time.
|
|
|
ARs are lubbed with Slip EWL.
Pistols usually same or regular slip. Also usually use greese on slide rails, not sure it's needed but I use it. |
|
|
CLP or Ballistol for everything.
|
|
|
Mobil-1. Mix of viscocities from oil change leftovers. More than I'll ever use in needle bottles. Tried every grease and oil out there when I worked in LE in the humid TX gulf coast and came back to simple synthetic motor oil. Works in all my guns. I use Hoppe's gun oil to wipe down my guns though.

|
|
Cleaning: brake parts cleaner
Rifle lube: Slip 2000 or leftover Mobil 1 Pistol lube: Tetra gun grease |

I use Breakfree CLP, Hoppes, or brake cleaner to clean. For lube I use red Mobil 1 grease, CLP, or sewing machine oil. I have the sewing machine oil on my bench because I repair old sewing machines. I used to use LPS-2, but I can't find it locally anymore.

Also, 20 years ago when I made the switch, someone posted a study here they did of different lubes, it's what convinced me to try it. |

Hoppe's No. 9 solvent
Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 oil SuperLube grease |
|
|
CLP
Cherry bomz Tetra gun grease Hoppes Hoppes bore cleaner. Break through suppressor cleaner. |
|
|
Slip everything for almost everything.
Cleaner/degreaser in the spray bottle to clean. EWL for lube in a micro oiler bottle. Slip grease. Getting the larger bottles and such lasts years. Nothing against Mobil1, I have used it before, but just figure that I use so little why not pay for firearm specific stuff. Target rifles get the Butches bore cleaner/JB paste/Kroil treatment every year or so. |

CLP and Hoppes for basic cleaning. If I want to clean out all the nooks and crannies then I blast them with a non-chlorinated break cleaner.
Lube is just mobil 1. 10w-30 If I have a steel slide on aluminum frame I use a grease on the rails. |

First time I used M1 in my AR I knew I was never going back to a typical gun oil. |
