Is your garage door really short or are you seven feet tall? (Assuming that is a keypad..)
BTW congrats. |

Those were popular back in the late 50’s through 70’s here in Tennessee. My grandparents house had one here in Memphis. I wish I could find someone still making ones like from back then. I’d love to put one at my place.

DK, you still owe. Don't pay your property taxes and see what happens.
We own nothing. It's all a rental. Not to diminish the achievement. Can't wait until ours is paid off. Congrats!! I have also heard folks paint their doors red. Is that a thing? |

Congratulations! That's a major accomplishment. I kind of forgot about the symbol, I need one. I managed it last year.

Never heard of that tradition. May have to buy an eagle. Doubt our HOA would allow it. Can’t wait to move away from the city and HOAs.

you know looking at OP's pictures again I recall seeing those in the 70's and 80's... not uncommonly..
I think back then I assumed it was some kinda patriotic thing. |

Didn’t know about this. Thanks OP. I am almost two years late for my Eagle.
Time for a bigger boat. |

This is awesome.
I paid off my last debt on Friday of last week. Started getting very serious about it in 2021. Sold the boat that summer because I saw the interest rates coming and that cash became part of the paydown. |

We put my grandparent's eagle on our house 20 yrs ago. What happens if you borrow against it, due to lower rates and only borrow 20% of it's appraised value, to buy rental properties free and clear?
