Slats are extended with flaps at around 20 degrees, but I'm not sure if that's unusual for a C-17.

Slats extend fully before the flaps move.

ETA: I posted this whuile the pic was loading through my dial up.

That tail flash is for Hickam. Charleston's is solid yellow.

Well, the only thing I noticed is that the tail number is 55152 at the back but 5152 at the front. Is that weird?

No. The one on the nose is just four digits.
