These recent FG accessory pics now really have me thinking about my next project turning into dipping one of my spare lowers, uppers, and handguards in Kryptek Highlander, and then going FG with the accessories. Would look killer.

Thanks for the motivation, and nice rigs.

Yup, thanks! It was either the Leupold Mk 6 or the Vortex Razor HD Gen II. A comment made by 00bullitt on SnipersHide along with a discount mentioned by another member on the hide steered me towards the Razor and I'm damn happy with it.

The result of a rapid 10 round group w/ Hornady 75 gr off my range bag.

The other scatters are from Wolf Gold.

Updated pic, got the 51t mount. Now I just need some BUIS. Thinking about some MBUS Pro.

Pretty much all Daniel Defense except for the Rainer Arms Match barrel and Geissele SSA-E trigger.

She's heavy but I'm happy with the way she shoots

Good looking gun. A couple questions since it looks similar to the setup I'm planning.

1. What is the weight?

2. What accuracy are you getting out of it?

3. What brake is that?

4. I assume you went with the longer bipod so you could use 30rd mags?

I still need to get some quality ammo to really test it, but I was getting sub 2" groups with xm193. I don't claim to be a sniper/precision shooter, so I was happy with that considering the ammo.

When it gets out of the negative temps here, I plan on more throughly testing it.

2. What accuracy are you getting out of it? RA barrels live up to the hype. It shoots sub MOA with match grade or hand loaded ammo

3. What brake is that? It's a YHM brake. I'll be changing it out for an AAC 51t brake

4. I assume you went with the longer bipod so you could use 30rd mags? Bipod length is personal preference. I may switch it but the longer length is more comfortable for me when shooting.

Well that seems promising.  Do you feel you have to wait longer between shots?  I remember shooting an A1 for groups and I would wait a little longer between shots than I typically do.  I don't know if it was necessary but I was getting some darn good groups.

But the point being, I always wonder if the FF tube or a heavier weight barrel is what carries more of the accuracy with it.  Probably a combo of both, but I'm wondering if the FF tube gets rid of some of the stringing that a lw barrel might do as it heats up.

New optic on the "Rainier Recce".  This replaced a SWFA 3-9, I think its more usable now.

The CBC ammo is not bad stuff. I have some (140 rds.) Silver State Armory 77 gr. OTM coming from PSA. At $17.95 a box/20, it was hard to resist. I also have some Romanian SS109 that I bought a few years ago that I recently started shooting. I was impressed at the performance out of my latest Recce build.

I put this together with one of PSA's Black Friday sale uppers... 16" 416 SS 1/7 heavy profile free floated under a DD  Omega X handguard.  Nice little "urban sniper" setup.  I will probably add a bipod and more long range precision oriented glass.

It's actually a 6.5 Grendel, the barrel is one of the AR-Stoner branded barrels Saturn makes for Midway USA, It's my first foray into 6.5 Grendel and I wanted to try a low cost option first, I've been impressed with the barrel so far, there is a lot of controversy over the "grendel II" chamber that it has but it shoots the 123gr AMAX great, thats all I really care about.

Yep, it's a Burris TAC30.  Love it.

I agree, the Magpul fixed rifle stock is pretty hideous looking... but it does everything I want a fixed stock to do.  Good cheek weld, right length, set up for QDs, and plenty of storage.  I doubt I'll be changing it out any time soon.

You weren't lying. We hiked from just south of Mt. Holly Springs to Duncannon (36ish miles) and saw 40s, 30s, 20s, 10s, rain, snow, and hail.

Sierra 77gr otm. I think he used 2000mr in his stuff he made for me. His standard match 5.56 load....no likey my barrrel. Was doing like 2" groups. I used Tac and Varget (24.5gr) before with good results. CBC and BH 77otm is still the best for me.

18" or 20" ?

16" 1/9
The barrel looked really long for some reason.

It does... I think it's the 9" rails instead of the 12" most guys have on recce builds.

I was thinking it was a 10" FF.

Is that an SPR/M4?

9" Midwest Industries mid length FF

It's a home built gun. We pieces it together as a recce "inspired" build. Started out with a 1-4 and bipod. I much much prefer a light and acog though. I think posted specs somewhere but in this thread but I'll put them up again

PSA stripped upper and lower
DD lower parts kit
Geissele G2S
Magpul UBR
Magpul MIAD
Magpul trigger
Magpul rail covers
BCM Gunfighter mod 4 gen 2 charging handle
16" SS 1/9 fluted match barrel
MI 9" Midlength rails
Trijicon TA-31
PA ultimate weapon light gen 2
AAC 762-sd
Paint job is Magpul FDE- 2 coats with lots of flattener

Added some Magpul XT panels and the Haley Thorntail mil620 light mount. This will most likely be the final configuration of this rifle.

Here is my attempt at a RECCE style rilfle. Have had an aimpoint on the Noveske for years but found myself not using the rifle much. Decided to put an AAC ranger that I had laying around and picked up the vortex 1-6 and a geissele ssa-e.

Very nice. I love my Vortex 1-6x, probably one of the best optic purchases I've made, hope you like it.

Thanks for the kind words guys! The rifle Has seen some use, i ran it in 4 or 5 classes with the aimpoint before i started using an SBR primarily. Really like the 1-6 so far, excited to shoot some more rounds with it.
