Very nice!

May I ask how you got that pattern? I understand that you use mesh, but how did you mix the solid colors in? I usually see the mesh over the entire rifle.

Way cool paint job, that is true functional art.  If I ever get to it, I want to an Eastern Diamond scheme on something.  I have an old set of hand guards to play with and get it right.
OP, thanks for the thread.

Not mine, but I forget who's.

I've done this pattern before on KAC 11-rib RAS Panels and they came out nice.
I still have them, but never use them. They sit in a KAC RAS panel bag.

Basecoat of your choice then mesh netting is used by laying it up against the rifle.
More colors are then sprayed onto the mesh netting creating the snakeskin effect.

Very attractive camo style IMO.

Mesh laundry bag is popular. I actually went to a material store and bought a square yard (9 sq. ft.). I think Wal-Mart has a material section. It's probably cheaper if they have it.

one trick we use to use in autobody to get a fine mesh creation, to mimic a carbon fiber weave was to use cheesecloth stretched out
