So about then days ago I bought this thing. Now it's here.
Probably the first and only one FN Military Collector's Edition in this thread, so I took a couple more pictures.

It seems to be a fine firearm. Haven't shot it yet, but I think it will be at least as good as my Colt 6920.

Actually went ahead and took a comparison picture of the two.
The Colt is a 6920, but modified (upper) by Specialized Armament Warehouse; the barrel is cut and shortened in a proprietary way that with a correct (looking) A2 size flash hider, gives it a nice Military length-look.

Oh thanks!

And I surely want one. I do however believe (almost certainly) that California won't let me.

For now

I haven't posted here in a while.  I traded off my other Block 1 upper for without out handgaurd, bolt, and CH for a project Garand and M1 Carbine(rebuilding threads in the Armory/M1).  I kept my Socom profiled upper and added my favorite parts from both builds to make my current Block 1 carbine.  It's my primary home defense rifle.  My goal was to clone an early GWOT Socom carbine. Also added Comp M style caps to my PRO. Here it is:
" />
" />

It's a pretty efficient little carbine but I've been shooting my Block 2 a lot more as of late.

Yeah, Loved it when ole' Hajaar ripped a few rounds through his own vehicle

I don't believe any of those old carbines are around anymore.

Here's a couple more recent guns that are around, but no longer configured as pictured:

I had them custom-made by a supplier/manufacturer of .gov-spec UID labels.

Because this was such a small batch (only 50 labels, that were split between both personalized & generic serials), the labels in this batch aren't for sale (it cost over $300 to have this tiny batch designed, manufactured, certified, & shipped). Though perhaps once a larger batch is produced they may be worth offering...Thus why I stated: "Soon..." in my post.

Need to post pictures of mine, have gotten my entire rifle painted just need to send the barrel to Adco to be pinned/welded.

Everything on the rifle if Colt with exception of the lower, which I used a PSA Afghanistan lower to remember my time there and a Spikes lpk. Only difference between this one and my issued one will be the happy switch and I'm using a N1 stock instead of the B5 Sopmod like I was issued. Never got to use a N1 while I was in, quickly becoming my favorite style stock.
