I ended up with 0.025” of clearance between the eyepiece and the pic rail on the upper. The scope will likely be offset back to account for eye relief, so you could probably go even lower. Be careful if you’re using a Gibbz upper like a lot of folks, as the trap door in the back needs clearance to allow the BCG to slide in/out. If you don’t have a high enough setup you’ll probably be taking the scope off every time you want to pull the bolt out… There is just enough to space in the photo below for the BCG to come out (standard BCG for illustration). |

Received my stock a couple days ago and installed it today. Now I have an Ares SCR with a Fightlite stock.
Overall, I am pleased. Ergonomics are better than the Remington stock. Cheekweld is perfect for lining up on a low mounted optic (in this case a Sig Romeo 4T) and also improved with offset back up sights (in this case Magpul Pro sights). I didn't compare the weight between stocks, but the new one is marginally heavier. It was easier to install because it is wider than the Remington stock. Buttpad is rubber with aggressive texturing to stick to the shoulder. It probably will absorb some recoil - though the SCR's recoil is already almost non-existant. The texture on the grip is also excellent and an included sling stud on both sides is a bonus. I have to admit I've had a love/hate relationship with this company and I am surprised to have had a positive customer experience in this instance. |

Hi guys! Is the Scr trigger group billet, forged, or cast?

My Fightlite lower is on Gunbroker (with bids). I didn’t like the feel of the walnut stock grip angle and couldn’t bring myself to buy an original 1100 Monte Carlo stock to fix things…
If FM makes this in 450 Bushmaster I will be all over it. |

FM said theirs are starting at $1000 complete and will take BRN-180 uppers as well. Kinda tempting so long as the trigger isn’t a mess. A 7.62x39 could be fun.

FM told me they don't have an adapter for the SGA stock. They said it just fits their lower.
