Optic is clone correct, but has this optic ever been seen in this configuration? Ive seen this optic mounted directly to the receiver in a LaRue LT-104. Sorry to ask in two threads, but I haven't been able to find much.

I was thinking you were going to put it behind the gusset like a traditional castle nut. This way is much cleaner. Now you have another service you charge for.

I need a small lathe. I've got a medium-sized bench mill, but I keep finding things I want to make use of a lathe more than a mill.

Sucks waiting to reassemble my H but gotta get that Noveske coated the correct FDE cerakote.  It's mailed and just waiting for my man to get to it then she can go back together...................... Sitting here with this brand new PRI Douglas FDE H barrel got me all fucked up wanting to build another in a lil different configuration

Question for the H owners.  Putting aside any clone correctness to the question.  The Recce rail section.  What actual benefit do you see it providing.  I'm struggling to find a use where I "need" it vs it's just a pure clone thing.

Pretty much the only way you can mount a higher power scope on rings at the correct eye relief.

But again maybe at the time.  There are plenty of scope mounts that fit the same bill right?  1.7, 1.93 etc.

Pointless when using mounts and recall at least one instance where it caused random zero shifts.

I ditched mine, using the ATACR 1.54” combo.

I went back to it recently. Had issues with one before, but this ones perfect. I tbh think it was the 3.5-10 mk4.

You can use normal 1.2" high rifle rings and endless eye relief possibilities. Its prolly the most versatile part of the H optics option.

@HaveBlue83 what was the issue you had on the repro socom stock?  Was thinking bout getting one and mothballing my original.  I saw you did a perm fix but was curious if it was the gusset coming loose or the stock tube spinning or a combination of both.

That work you did looks slick AF!

Point me in the direction of a mod1 scope!  I wanna move my NF x24 to my NSW and my M110 is on the Mod H.  I have the x32 but it she don’t fit in correctly in these time pieces.  I talked shit but Charlie’s finally got me on a n “in stock” TS30 A2 that after a week and a half they finally admitted they never had so I’m awaiting my refund god knows how long!  I can swing $2500 on some nice outdated glass

I might be selling my 2.5-8 non I'll mil dot leupold mk4 optic. It keeps zero perfect, I just wanna do more 800+ shots and it's hard with 8x and I max out clicks. I have my 3-12 Nikon on my H and it's just easier to shoot with it.

Just kinda putting that out there.

Finishing up a build in 6.8 SPC. I’ve currently got a Bison Recon barrel on hand, but it appears to be profiled for an M4 collar rather than an SPR collar. I can’t decide whether to just run the M4 collar, or to return the barrel and look for something more properly profiled. Also still debating on paint. Can’t decide if I should leave it as is, paint the receivers, grip, rings, bipod, and mags, or spray the whole kit and caboodle. What do you guys think?

Knight’s recommends the black shim for install at minimum, I’m not sure why.

Looking at that, I’d suspect the black shim will get you either right at the “A” where it needs to be or well in excess of your torque range and you’ll need a few extra shims to get it to time right.

I’ll include the install manual with the wrench if I can find it. Here’s a link to Knight’s URX installation pdf
