Anyone seen a FDE Tango Down BG16 in the wild?

More weekend fun w/ the Noveske. Still can't believe how accurate this 300 BLK is printing.

Wonder if they are gonna start using the Tmags with these rifles.

If you've shot a Sbr'ed 556 gun, you've shot them all. The gun I'm referring to is a 6.75 300blk Rattler. So not apples to apples.

It's still my favorite 556 gun.
You'll definitely get a bit more gas to the face if using a M42k.

Accuracy seemed to improve once a carbon seal developed on the mount. It shrunk my ~1.75 10-shot groups to around 1.5. (BH 77gr Tmk/Otm)
Would be cool to see someone's result with 70gr.

My JN personal 300 BLK clone will consistently stack holes at 75-100 yards with a 1-4x. I'm by no means a great shot but that SS barrel is laser beam accurate.

Using the entire reticle will get you just shy of 270 with Subx 190s.
(Ran out of those fancy 201s)
Eta: Zero swap to 100 fits 300yds in 10mils. I'll swap back to a dot when it's warmer.

Had a quick range day this afternoon to sight in the ATACR. Wanted to sight it in with BH 62gr Dual Performance, but also see what 55gr and 77gr printed also. I choose to try the 62gr DP cause in theory it would give me the furthest fragmentation distance, and is also suppose to be barrier blind.

Got it roughly sighted in with some Wolf Gold and 5 shot group was just over 2 MOA (pictured below). Didn't bother with a 10 shot group. Moved on to get good zero with the BH 62DP

Fired a 3 shot group with the BH that was 0.75 MOA with a .4/.4 mil offset from the Wolf Gold zero (below).

Made the correction and fired another 3 shot group (0.8 MOA pictured below).

Moved on to fire a 10 shot group with the BH 62DP. Being that my front rest was a wadded up woobie in a dry bag and it was 20 degrees outside, I am very please with a 1.5 MOA group. Based on this group and the last one, brought zero back .2 mils.

Moved back to 275, which is the max I can shoot on my home range and set a mark at the top of the piece of cardboard (not pictured). I wanted to see what my drop would be at 275 to true up ballistic calculator. Fired a 4 shot group that was 1.6 MOA and a 12.5" drop.

Based off the drop at 275 yards, this gives me an approx muzzle velocity of 2510 fps, which was in the ballpark I was expecting. Being that it was 20* outside, curious to see if it speeds up a bit this summer. This bullet is advertised to fragment at 1500 fps, so that gives me a theoretical fragmentation range of roughly 375 yards which is pretty impressive from a 10.5. With the 77gr TMK and 70gr TSX, the frag/expansion range topped out right around 300 yards.  Overall very pleased.

Because BCM’s version of FDE is gross? I sent my grip in with the upper/lower/hand guard to have it all done in the same batch.

Not really that weird. Almost all of it is fairly standard devgru stuff: DD rail, S&S mount, AAC brake, Inforce WML, etc…

Only thing mildly surprising was the D-EVO. First I’ve seen in dev but I haven’t seen everything.

the 14.5 in the helo is interesting. Keymod rail and what looks like an AAC SPR style mount.

It’s not a Keymod rail. It’s the standard Midwest rail (again really common with dev) and a standard AAC 51T flash hider on 14.5” barrel. Leupold CQBSS & NGAL.

What does bum me out is I believe this is the second time we’ve seen the insight MRDS mount in 34mm on their guns and to my knowledge none of those have popped out into civilian hands yet. Which could either mean they were contract only, or modified 30mm versions…

The 30mm and the 34mm each had two versions; one short, one tall.  The tall 34mm are/were used with the CQBSS, and the short with the 1-8 ATACR.

Short 30mm on the left, 34mm on the right.

Grip, safety selector, flashlight, weird laser button thing, KAC battery cap, sling mount, magazine…

All that said, they’re good guys and I think they target their prints at the masses, not us ultra nerds (plus what guns they can get their hands on to photograph). It’s a cool print but it definitely would trigger some of our ‘tism tendencies.
