Had a chance to fit the grenade launcher ring, sight leaf & found a US M29 grenade (this is the US training model of the Energa AT rifle grenade), thought members here might enjoy some pics!

There's a bunch of pics of the setup besides those above which I added to the photo album on the 601, here's a link to the album if anyone wants to see more:

Thanks for the kind words, thought the "retro nuts" would appreciate it, frens, sure looks good, that's an original Belgian Energa on an original Belgian rifle I assume LOL!, Dogpilot, nice combo there also, from what I understand the grenade that your M31 trainer is based on (not sure what the model was, not an expert of rifle grenades by any stretch!) was the one which saw the most use w/the M16 platform in US service, it came after the US version of one I have & pretty much replaced it by about 63-64, although not much use was made of rifle grenades overall w/the M16 platform in general. Hal, thanks, glad you enjoyed the pics on the site, I'm at about 4100 so far & just revised the account so there's no limit!, got tons more stuff to photograph & put up, actually just added a section in the M16 accessories album w/most of the ammo/mag pouches that were used w/the M16 series 1959-1990 or so, so I'll be adding ,ore pics, albums & info as time goes on, too bad you got rid of your AR180!, I really like mine, it's an original Costa Mesa rifle & just fits w/all the "retro" AR's, kinda of a cross between the AR's & my other "passion" Soviet, & AK's, the 180's kind of the ideal between both worlds hahaha!

So can you fire those with a blank?

Would be kinda fun if you had a reuseable practice grenade to play with.

I wonder if it would be possible to make a "practice" grenade using a Nerf football and some aluminum tube with one end capped (and welded) and fins welded on?                   That could be a whole lot of fun.

Yeah...

Hell, even nerf footbal with a bit of copper plumbing pipe and fins put on...

Who needs the blank golfball firing device with that badboy.

Okay, who's gonna be first to do it?

A buddy and me used to play rifle grenade golf.  That was with Yugo SKS rifles and a crate of Isreali practice grenades and the US pinapple launchers but with tennis balls.  We got to be pretty good with it and nearly went into bunny hunting at times.

Ah those days...
