Attached File I did some work on my A2 today and am pretty happy right now so I'll post up a couple of pics thou by this time next week the whole lower is going to be different but when that happens I'll post again. I posted some of this in another thread but my first rifle I ever bought was a Colt Sporter Hbar back in 1992. I HATED the half moon carrier, the big ping FCG, the lack of a front push pin, the heavy barrel, the sear block and the shaved bayonet lug. I ended up selling it around 22 years ago. I decided to build the rifle that I really wanted back then and so far this is is. Windham 1/7 twist barrel Govt profile AO Precision (they make the BCGs for FN) phosphate BCG with sprinco springs Colt receiver extension, buffer and spring NOS light gray charging handle I picked up from the EE that looks identical to a Colt and probably is FN stock Colt LPK with Colt grop Geissele lower Today I got my new FN stock on, was able to get the proper sized gas pin so it's not protruding and replaced the crush washer with a peel washer and replaced the black CH with the grey one. It now looks right to me. :) |

I'm working on an A2 inspired build and recently purchased the A2 buttstock. It looks more gray than black. Noticing that a lot of these buttstocks in this pic thread are more of a gray than a black. Does anyone paint or dye them?...or embrace the gray?

Same as the finish on the gun itself. |
