Dissipator style gun. PSA barrel on a Colt upper. Lower is a PSA M4A1, but I will rebuild it with my early Bushmaster lower if I can ever find the thing. Fun blaster for sure.

I've never been able (brave enough) to paint any of my rifles even though I really want to! I keep hoping to end up with a beater that I'm willing to experiment with...but every time I think I've got one just about built, someone wants to buy it from me... Also...pic thread...my recent finished build that happened in this thread, and my "Heat" clone being shot by my Grandson this last weekend in Southern Utah. Both of these have gone with me every time the last few times out...they are super fun to shoot. Grandson shot both then asked if he could shoot the "little" one again... |

It's been a long time since I posted here. I hope this is the right place for this post.
It's a Bushmaster XM15-E2S About 3 weeks ago I was watching Newsmax and they cut to the current POTUS making a speech. In his speech he started talking about the executive orders he's been pushing through, and mentioned he was going to do everything in his power., including executive orders, to reinstate the 94 awb, I'm sure it's been discussed at length somewhere in this forum. I went into the living room and my wife was watching it too. I told her if we were going to make sure our youngest son had an AR we should probably do it now. We had plans to get him one when he turned 18, our oldest son already has his, she replied "hurry back". So off I went to the nearest gun store to my house with the plan to just grab an AR that I was familiar with being good quality. I fully expected to see the guy in there marking all the AR's up, but he wasn't. When I got there I saw a lot of very affordable rifles, most of them I didn't recognize the manufacturer. But on the end of the row there was a Bushmaster, I've always wanted a Bushmaster for myself but never got one. After haggling with the guy a little a settling on a price I ended up purchasing it, it was on consignment . Little did I know until afterwards when he brought the case out that it came with 3/30rd Bushmaster mags, the original paperwork including the sight in target and the original hard case. The mags have green followers, I'm assuming those are aftermarket? The rifle has very minor signs of being fired, couldn't be more than 100 rds. I don't know much about these rifle's, I'm confident it's a quality rifle. Could someone more knowledgeable give me an idea on the quality, maybe some info on the parts and maybe a value of this rifle. I have no intention of selling it, or any other firearm I own but I would like to know if I got hosed or not. Even if I did I'm happy with the rifle and I'm sure my son will be too this afternoon when he gets home from school and we give it to him. My limited research shows it was manufactured in the Windham, ME plant between 2006 and 2011. -----------------------------------------!!!!!!!!!!! After about 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to add photos I gave up, and just uploaded them to my website, they can be viewed here: Coop's AR |
