For anyone into night-vision capability on their rifle- what are some of the best buys out there? Is there really that big of a difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3? Any scope recommendations as far as mounting and durability/comfort? I'm looking into it as my next scope purchase by the end of the year, and instead of reading tons of articles I wish I could just get some feedback from some owners that are into night/predator hunting, etc.

uh,,,,,YES!, once bitten, you will never be satisfied, till you have 3rd gen stuff, and right now Im not satisfied,

now if santa would bring me a D-760 or a pvs14,,,,I would be very happy

PVS 14 or MUM is the only way to go.

Rifle mounted with an Eotech or Aimpoint M2/3 is good, but head mounted with an IR laser is the best option.  Plus it costs more that way.
