UPDATED: This is by far my favorite design

I'm trying to design a better paper target for sighting in an ACOG (TA31RCO-M4CP specifically) at 100 yards

Here is my current design. Comments are welcome. Is there already a better target out there?

I like it, will try it out next time I take my A4 clone out. I think we need a thread for homemade targets. Have a couple I've made myself.

Here is version 2.0. Lowered the circle 1" and hollowed it. The object is to get all shots at 100 yards in to the circle.

Old Marine RCOs are in 1/3 MOA and new Marine RCOs are in CM clicks, Army RCO (M150) are in1/2 MOA clicks

Thank you.

My TA31RCOM4CP is about 1.5 years old and purchased from Optics Planet. Got the 2 clicks per MOA from the enclosed manual. It has the external adjustment knobs where a coin is not needed. Is that the best way to tell between the 2 and 3 click per MOA versions?

I didn't realize they changed the graduations. You wouldn't happen to know the reason would you?

is the lower bracket to help frame the chevron?  can you post a picture of how the reticle would look when overlaid properly on the target?

Yes, the lower bracket is to frame the chevron. It should be 5.5" wide.

I need to verify everything lines up as expected. Should be at the range in the next 2 weeks, maybe sooner.

If you have the finger adjustable Marine RCO it should be in CMs

Took my A4 clone out and used your target to check it out.  Was shooting at an indoor range at 100yds and the lighting could have been better.  I liked the solid black version better as I was having trouble seeing the circle at distance.  The frame for the chevron was pretty cool also.  I couldn't see the vertical line though as my BDC covered it up.

Thanks for the work, They worked pretty well.

The above designs didn't work well for me, the lines were to thin for my 4 power ACOG to pick up well. This design does seem to work well. Keep the top edge of the cheveron in the 1" white circle.

Tag, imma try some of these targets with my TA31f. I am trying to see if my broken ACOG will hold zero or not still.

Made it back to the 100 yard range today and had it all to my self. Whoopee.

I really like the last target I posted on 5/3/2015. Very easy to see the white center with the 4x RCO and the 4" black circle is just right when compared to an 8" Glow Shot target that was still on the back board. Cheap too. I would staple four targets at a time and just go 2 or 3 rounds on each.

Anyway, just sharing.

Here is my latest target and it works great. I've gotten my best groups with it.
