I can't find a lower profile two piece gas block than then YHM one.  I have a pinned muzzle device on a 14.5" barrel, and really don't want to mess with cutting it off or SBRing it.

I'm thinking of buying one of their folding front sights and chopping it into a low profile gas block, sort of like cutting down an A2 front sight.

Are there any alternatives out there?

Since your muzzle device is pinned, how are you going to get the existing FSB out? You're going to have to cut it anyway right? if you're going to do that, just trim the FSB down for the rail to fit over. I've done it a couple of times and it's easy. Done in about 30 minutes with a Dremel and file.

It started life as a bare barrel with welded and pinned muzzle device.

It is currently wearing the YHM two piece, but that thing is huge.  I'd like to stick a troy handguard on it, but hex sided current gas block is way too big for that.

That is the only two piece gas block I can find though.

I have not seen any other two piece gas blocks out there other than the YHM you already have. That's going to be rough. Any chance you can shave some of the metal of the YHM clamp? You dont need that much room under the Troy Alpha or Bravo rail ( I have both). Other than that, you might have to destroy the pinned muzzle device to get a standard low profile gas block in there.

Yeah, don't buy the folding site gas block just to cut it down.  Buy one of the cheaper ones.  I'm in the same boat as OP and have a railed 2 piece block I'm going to whack down to see if it fits my Troy rail.

Bing image search brings up the following picture but I can't find any reference to it on Brownells site.

That's an adjustable JP, don't know if it would fit or not:
