I am helping a friend get a parts list together for a 3 gun build.  He has freakishly long arms and my 15" handguards are too short for him.  I know a few makers make a 17" version.  My Google-fu is weak, or at least I am not getting pertinent listings.  Throw some suggestions my way so I can send him a good representation.

AP Customs makes a few variants of carbon fiber handguards as long as 17".  Joe Bob's had some older Gen I's on clearance recently, but they seem to be gone now.

The other one I saw was the SLR Rifleworks 16.5" handguard, which looks great & is pretty light in its own right.  They occasionally put blems on sale on their website's bargain bin for $100, but their recent batch just sold out so it may be a while.  The 16.5" Solo rail is only 15 oz, the Solo Lite is 13, and the Ultra Light is less than that (though I don't see the weight listed).

I was looking for lightweight handguards, and came across those recently.  Ended up getting the Geissele Mk4 M-Lok 15" blem for 50% off a couple weeks ago.  If he's patient, it's just a matter of time before a deal comes around!

FYI, the AP Customs Rhino 17" on a 20" barrel.

The SLR Ultra Lite 16.5" rail is a sweet piece, I used it on one of my builds.  It is light weight and very slim, fits the hand just right.  The below pic is on an 18" barrel with a VG6 Gamma muzzle device.
