I'm sure there will be some, but the round is extremely flat and doesn't loose velocity like the 556 or 223 with shorter barrels. If there is a difference, I don't think it will be worth mentioning IMO. Let's see pics of rifle!
Please excuse my crappy phone pics.
This is a Krebs Custom AK-74K.
The "K" in 74K designates that it has a 2 inch shorter barrel with a pinned compensator to meet NFA rules for barrel length. I haven't got the chance to shoot it, but Krebs did laser bore sight and test fire and provided the test target. Very tight groups.
Rather than go tacticool on this build, I'm going with nice wood furniture and a Russian optic.
With the $1300 price tag also comes EXCELLENT customer service. I've already spoken to Marc Krebs several times asking him questions. Very friendly folks over there at Krebs. I have the peace of mind knowing if I have ANY problems whatsoever Krebs will make it right no questions asked.
I can't put into words how amazing the finish is on this rifle. The phone pictures don't do it justice. It's finer than any AR or pistol I've ever seen.
I would also like to add that Krebs said that by me ordering the shortened barrel version, Krebs has to recrown the barrel (of course). He said the crowning machine that Krebs uses is MUCH more advanced than what they are using over in Russia and produces better accuracy than a factory AK.
So...if you order a Krebs AK think about getting a Carbine version, otherwise Krebs doesn't recrown a factory length barrel.
