That is top dollar, I just picked up a Type 56-3 for $750 this morning.

ETA: I'd go $1k easily and more if it had the bakalite stock, or a folding stock/bayo or other interesting features. |

I sold one for $1100 on the EE here. I think that is a fair price.

$1000-1200 or so is pretty normal for a basic Type 56. Higher is too much, lower is a good deal. $750 is deal of a lifetime.

Paid $1000 for mine a little while back. It was severely bubbaed and the bayo was bent. I rehabbed it back to health.
