Nice.

The price is close to the Krebs KCI QUAD except the Samson have more top rail length.

The side rails of the Samson is at the center and the Krebs are on a lower area of the handguard.

Wow , a whole $26 less than a B & T rail.

I've got a UTG rail for now ...which I hate china gear but from the reports I had to get it.  Don't have my AK yet as it's still coming but so far the UTG seems well made.  I'm attending an EAG Tac course by Pat Rogers in August and taking my AR w/ my AK as a backup as it is a carbine class but would love to run it through it just to test it out.  I just hope the Kreb's and DPH Arms cover rails (Beryl style) aren't too pricey as I would love to get one.

ETA:  Samson can you use the iron's w/ this one?  It looks like the front of the rail would obstruct the front sight.

Also the price while expensive I guess it's right on par w/ all the other rails so I'm not gonna knock it for the price.  Wish I could afford a nice rail in that range.

Yes, the irons are usable. There is a slot down the center.  The top rails on production models will be approx .12 inch lower.

Cool and thanks..I really do like the length of the rails...different looking for sure.

So how much does that weigh?  I'd imagine that it gets pretty toasty after a mag or so?

now Lumpy if you'd read the whole thread you would have saw that I edited one of my other posts above to state that the price was right on par w/ the other top notch rails

Looks like I'll have to bug Norrell's to come out with a "purple aluminum anodizing" color so I can refinish the rest of my gun to match.

Kinda what I was thinking...

Wow- adding a rail would double the value of the homebuilt Romy.  Nice looking, but I think I'll just screw a small section of rail to the fore end if I need a rail.

In Mr Samson's defence, his offering has a great deal more rail estate.  I'm sure there are guys in Iraq for whom this would be a godsend.  (That, and I have every intention of getting one of his fine AR float tubes.  I was fingering one today that left a wonderful impression on me.  Your products are TOP notch sir.)

Can you also get some pictures of it's installation?  I'm interested in seeing how it actually attaches.

Price: I think that price is perfectly in line. I know it is hard to get a product like that made in America and sold at such a fair price.

Color: I don't care if the my hand guard "coordinates" with other accessories. It's a gun.

What is the total weight? How does that compare to and UMak top rail and handgaurd rail system?

What locks the top portion in position on the lower when assembled?

Does the lower clamp only around the rear of the barrel or are there contacts in the front we cannot see?

Scott, how about one that fits the Bulgy Krinks.  Krebs is forever behind on the one they offer, and Auto Burst is not making them anymore.  I know it would cost a little more, but I would pop for one.

One more question...I noticed the 6 oclock rail has the cutout for the underfolder...is one going to be available w/out?  Not that I would think you need rail that close to the receiver b/c you wouldn't be able to swap mags w/ a vfg that close but just wondering.  thanks.

Beryl (it's for Polish AK's) DPH Arms and Kreb's are coming out w/ their own versions.

The offset rail is in the new picture at the top.   Notice the backwards facing Aimpoint mount.  There is a hole in the mount to allow for use of Iron sights.

Samson...I really like that top pic w/ the rail.  Looks pretty good!!!

Kinda reminds me of a three gun setup w/ a variable on top of the AR and a red dot mounted to the side at an angle.

Will these fit on any AK? What about Interordnances's STG-2000C?
The handguards are different, but ti looks like these mount differently anyway.

Any chance the top rail can be lowered so you can co witness an aimpoint (ala ultimak)? And do you have pics of the rail mounted on a fixed stock ak?

Mr. Samson,

Would you consider lowering the top rail? Or making it an option along with the top-rail pictured?

The rifle pictured is milled, so I would assume the rail fits milled.
