I have a MAK 90 Sport.
Is it possible to install a folding spike bayonet? Where can I find one?
I wanted to put it on this rifle:

Yes, it is possible to install a folding bayonet on your rifle.  It will replace the front sight assembley and is held in place by the same pins.  They show up on GB, but the prices range from $150 to $300.  You will also have to replace the lower hand guard with one slotted for the bayonet.  The hand guard also show up on Gun Broker.

You could always go this route and it's only $55. Not original, but it is Chinese and specifically made for this application.

THANKS for the input!

You are happy with this kit i assume?
How was the install?
Wonder if iron wood would make me a lower with the groove for the spike?

It's a clamp on with 2 screws, very easy to install and Matt at Ironwood has done the bayo cut for me before. Make sure you tell him to drill for a cleaning rod, if you want one, and be sure to let him know if you don't want palm swells on the lower hand guard, which would not be correct for a Chicom rifle, or he will send them with palm swells.

I am very happy with it, and it's actually a clamp on that also pins to the front sight...see my picture above. Very sturdy. If you go the route of the clamp-on, you'll need to get one longer sight block pin, by the way, because it now has to traverse the block and both sides of the upper clamp. I also changed the supplied screws for panhead bolts and turned the heads down a little as far as diameter. That allows the bolts to fit flush inside the upper clamp. I also removed excess threads showing on the bottom of the clamp.

Let's see, what else....the front of the bayonet secures onto a muzzle nut (see below). You can't use a slant brake because there is not enough clearance. You must use a nut or the bayonet will just hang off the front of the barrel. If your barrel is not threaded, you'll have to figure out some way to get a nut on there.

Hey Carlos thanks for the heads up cause I didn't realize it could be pinned to the FSB. All mine are very sturdy without the pin though.

Here is one I recently completed.  The original folding FSB is pricy.  They can be had for $300-$350.  Finding the correct gas block, good luck.

Why would you need to change the gas block?

Forgive my ignorance, but how is this legal to do? Wasn't the whole idea behind 922r and the grinding off of the lugs to prohibit the installation of bayonets on these rifles?
Anyway I'd love to do the same thing on a neutered MAK-90. Can I?

The rifle, if it's post-ban (MAK-90, etc.), can be de-banned (have folding buttstocks, pistol grips, bayonet lugs, etc.).  However, post-ban rifles must still adhere to the US parts count.

If you have a pre-ban rifle, the US parts count issue is not applicable.

922r has nothing to do with bayonets, just parts counts. Think about it this way....you can - right now - buy a brand new Romanian, Bulgarian or Russian AK and they come with bayonet lugs.

Perhaps you're confusing the Assault Weapons Ban (that expired a few years ago) with 922r.

Polytechnologys or Keng's as the owners are named, have the lower handgaurds, and complete stock sets, with the groove for the folding bayo in stock.Mad Max son of Madtechcool

You can often find them on Gunbroker for cheaper, as well.

You don't have to change the gas block but I had a preban GB with the cleaning rod holder guide intact.  So I replaced it.

Sure I don't see why you couldn't.  You can do it yourself or send it to a gunsmith.  Just comply with 922r then you just have to gather up the parts.  Good luck.
