Nice, tell us about it! |

looks great! I see you went with a muzzle nut instead of slant. I also currently have a muzzlenut on my arm project. My MISR on thread page has a slant. I thought I owuld go with something a little different as well on this arm

I kinda like the look of the muzzle nut and went with it to be different. I bought the rifle 3 years ago NIB for $ 280, it's a 95 with straight sites and an actual deceant black paint job for a maadi.
US gas piston, G2 trigger, US follower & floorplate. Took awhile to find a lam buttstock in deceant shape, this one is a WASR take off with two coats of amber shellac to get it to be a close color match to the Egyp lower HG. |

Wow........ Thats all I can say. Wow

Snob
I'm not precious about it. It's a cheap, rough AK that needs to function and feel good - end of story. |
|
|
That looks 10x better than those things look on the shelf. I like the tele stocks myself. We have a Hi-cap WASR that came with the tele stock, G2 trigger and the slant brake. The only thing I had to add was a SAW pistol grip. It was on sale for $385 at Dunham's.

|
Yeah, I like the tele stock on there, it felt great shooting it last night.
At least it doesn't look like 1970s cheap wood paneling from inside a trailer home like some of those AKs do! |

damn some of these egyptian ak47s are some of the best looking... wow. what are the prices on these and how available are they? are they as available as lets say the romanians?

Ok from the research I have done what I have here is a Maadi Misr-10 designed to accept single stack mags. Clearly these are not single stacks in the picture. I looked into the mag well and it has been opened to accept hi cap mags. Also the Misr-10s I have seen have thumbhole stocks, is this true of all Misr-10? did someone put a different stock on here?
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n161/g_acavallin/100_1604.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n161/g_acavallin/100_1606.jpg I received four 30 round mags with it, 3 like the one on the left and the one on the right. can anyone tell me anything about them? country of origin perhaps. the one on the right is stamped with a circled C. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n161/g_acavallin/100_1608.jpg same mags different view http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n161/g_acavallin/100_1611.jpg |

My understanding is that if it original accepted single stack mags, then it had a thumbhole stock too. |

Nice stock touch on yours! I am thinking of doing the same on the new one I ordered, only in a Russian folder.

I was in Egpyt a couple years ago, and just about every AK I saw in the hands of the police (hundreds of them) had one strange front lower handguards. They either had that Romy style donkey dong hanging down, or less commonly what looked like a smaller version of that, but with a hole I assume is for your thumb. I've never seen pictures of the ones with holes, only in person.

We have one of these just like it at a Pawn Shop where I work. It has the Y mark and thumb hole stock and welded on barrle nut. It looks just like your rifle and they want 450.00 for it and no less, But I think thats kind of high. I dont know much about the Maddi guns at all, So is it a decent buy ? or should I pass on it ?
Thank You In Advance For Any Replys, Chefgun. |

I love my Maadi, it has never jammed. I would try to get it for $400 or $425. I like them.
