Nice, you don’t see those Elbit Falcon mk1/mk2 sights often.

I actually saw one in Israel about 3 1/2 years ago mounted on an old IDF carbine still in service. It looked very well used. I was very surprised it was still even in service. The soldier was surprised that I knew what it was.

Ever run across Galil's in the field or with foreign forces? As a tangent of that, ever get trigger time on the Finnish RK95? |

It really illustrates that there are a few cosmetic differences between the Galil Ace and the original Galil receiver. Which means select ACE parts could convert an older Galil into a left side charging handle. |

So the receiver-side stock knuckle on an ACE is the same (round) shape with a single roll pin as the old Galil? I thought it was a goofy new square-ish shape?🤔🤔
For those of you who did a classic stock swap onto an ACE, can you explain the process or post a close-up pic? |

View Quote I just took the stock pivot pin (under spring pressure) off and removed the e-clip. Installed the old-school stock onto the existing stock knuckle. There was no need to use another knuckle. Made a tool out of a short piece of polymer/nylon punch and inserted it into a small block of wood. Honestly, it looks like a dreidel. I used it to push the pivot pin up, offset the pin slightly so it'd still be held inside the lower part of the knuckle and inserted end of a paper clip into the lower hole so the pin would not shoot across my shop. That way I didn't need three hands remove/install the e-clip. |

Not sure if they export that exact version, But I think a version of the rail is available for purchase in this country (or used to be). They are rare, and of course, pretty spendy. |

What can you tell us about the web gear? Do your pouches close with velcro, or something else? I have some similar belt-mounted IDF pouches from years back, when I had the local boot and shoe repair shop sew on "MOLLE" webbing to the back, and add a fastex buckle to the front. The alterations probably cost more than the surplus pouches themselves, but considering it brought NOS stuff into the current decade, it was worth it IMO. I think that "seat belt" style webbing is an excellent compromise between durability and flexibility. It's good stuff. |

I paid $90 for it and ordered through Soldier of Fortune back in the day. All pouches are velcro closure and the original metal buckles cracked and broke and I had them replaces with the ones shown. The harness has 4 mag pouches that hold 2 Galil/AR mags each, 2 grenade pouches, field dressing pouch, smoke grenade pouch, buttpack and room for two US style one quart canteens. Linky to pic |
