You sure it's not a WASR?  I think it says WASR-10 on the side.  Nice none the less.

Nope...not mine but I wish.  The rifle I own in this picture is actually a Polytech Legend never fired.  It is the "queen" of my gun collection, as someone on here put it.   I don't think I will ever sell...  However, for the right price I may reconsider.   Check out that YUGO krink in the picture above.  That is a sweet rifle!!!

My first WASR-10. I just got her yesterday and I am VERY happy about it. Haven't gone to fire it yet but....in due time.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f254/kaya_mana/goodies2.jpg

I like the color on the wood and would like to keep it that way just want to sand her down and finish it more nicely. Any suggestions. I'll continue browsing through these posts but as there are quite a few it's a daunting task.

Thank you once again, sir.

The "lightweight" ribbed mags were introduced with the Type 3, so that's why I used those.

I agree that the slabsides look great, but I went for "correctness".

I thought the "slab-side" mags (Type I), were issued with Type I, II and III rifles?  Later, the 3 rib design came afterwards.  No?

Vector/Polish UF stock.  Butt pad is replica (rubber insert) I saw on a thread here about 6 mos. ago.  Sent away for it (about $20 IIRC) and IT WORKS!  Well worth $$$ IMHO.

Can you take a close up pic of the butstock for me?  I'm interested in that...where did you get it and what is it called?

Hey good news I think I found that butt pad you like. I am pretty postive but let me know. Below is the link to the site where it is and I included the pic they have. I was online looking for  tactical slings and came acroos the butt pad and remember you talking about it. You can get it with out the strip.

Apparently, there was a lack of demand.  They may reconsider, due to the ammo issues and current demand for them.  Let's hope.
