I ended up replacing the slant muzzle brake with an AK-74 brake. The slant one didn't tighten down all the way and I heard good things about the AK-74 brake to reduce muzzle flip for faster follow up shots. |

Was it hard to get that Beryl? Owning firearms in Poland is banned (we do not have right to own firearms), exempt of obtaining firearms licence that defines purpose (hunting, sporting, collector, training, self defence, souvenir, etc.), number and kinds of weapons that can be owned. Getting licence is long, painful, expensive process with no guarantee of success, even if all requirements are met. When one has licence, for example for sporting centerfire rifle, then can buy semi-automatic rifle, that is defined as having barrel length longer than 180mm or total length longer than 600mm. Getting this one also includes convincing FB Radom to add for production batch made for Army few pieces in semi-auto for civilian sales. FB Radom does not run separate civilian production. However they want to start selling Mini Beryl for US market as .223 pistol under name of "Radom Archer Pistol". Other thing to obtain it is some money to be left at factory. Those are expensive (per US standards). Regular price for Mini Beryl (Mini Radom Sport) is around $1200, for Beryl (Radom Sport) around $1000. To compare cheapest AR (OA Black Label) is around $2000, HK MR223 (equivalent of HK MR556A1) is $4000. Version on picture is standard, as it comes from factory, with non-folding adjustable stock (there is folding, non adjustable one as well), railed fore-, ergonomic grip, VFG and enhanced safety lever. A 9mm might expand to .45, but a .45 will never shrink to 9mm.

Now I'm going to modify top of front handguard to mount my Micro lower. Front rail is so high because it is hollow to allow mounting RDS on top and aim with iron sights under it (I removed my real rail). This kind of ideas can only came to people who do not shoot their products. Nice folks from FB Radom do shot them for function, but not single one shoots it in tactical situation or even in competition. This can change, as factory secured consulting service of some people who actually shoot. But then, any improvements must pass last obstacle - Army. |

The 3/4" riser turned out to be perfect in my case, excellent cheekweld with the MRD I am running. I couldn't use a taller riser on my rifle, I wouldn't be able to get my face low enough on the stock to use the iron sights.
