I made another one with a Bulgarian handguard that looks a lot better and I attached it with a clamp on retainer. The problem is it ended up pretty small in order to give enough clearance to attach the retainer. I'll post a pic later. |

Nice job. I'm wondering if it's possible to modify the stock piece for similar results, but after looking at it, I realize that may not be possible. GARY

Here it is. Like I said, it ended up small in order for the retainer to fit. The retainer screw came loose the first time I tried it, but with some blue loctite it stays in place. I thought about modifying the stock piece too, but a regular handguard is probably less difficult.

The SLR Micro arrived yesterday. I put it on today. The screw for the bottom of the gas/sight block was a bit too large. I got a screw from the depot that fits. (M4-.07 x 10mm). It seems well made. I like it so far. I will try and test it soon.

What is that muzzle device you have installed? It's called a "Russian Original" from CNC Warrior. I cut the front of it off with a hack saw and hit it with some gun blue. I prefer a muzzle nut on my Dracos because I like to keep them short. However, the Micro is crazy short and that rail I just attached is long, so I am going to try this to add a little length (but not too much) to help me avoid shooting my fingers.
