Decided as of lately that I wanted to switch my handgun collection into the area of Mil Surp Hk pistols. I have owned multiple Hk's in my time but saw the need to switch things up since I love Mil Surpl pistols and rifles.

I am taking the P7 to the range for the first time today, cannot wait and see what it is all about since all the P7 owners seem to give them a lot of praise. I shot the VP70Z yesterday and while the trigger is awkward it was really accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. The P9S has been a blast for the last month to shoot, really accurate and the SA trigger pull is phenomenal.

Grade A 1982 P7. Like new with virtually no signs of wear.

Excellent condition 1973 P9S.

NIB 1982 VP70Z.

2002 USPC .45 While not a Mil Surp it has been my standby for almost a decade.

How do you like the front sight "blade" on the VP70Z?

Although it is different I actually was able to get a great sight picture, so I actually liked em.

How do you like the 'shadow sights' or whatever they are called on the VPZ70

The front sight was easy to acquire and worked out very nicely.

Awesome! I have a P9s and love its super smooth action. Where did you pick up the VP70Z at? Been looking for one to expand my collection of HK's?

I recently picked up a P7 PSP police trade in and love it.
Where did you pick up  the P9S?

I picked up the P9S from a local dealer in WA, Ortwein International. He had a large batch of about 40+ and I got to pick through them until I found the one I wanted. I have put a lot of rounds down range and absolutely love it.

Damn I wish HK would bring back an updated P9.  I've never owned one but had friends that owned the 9 and 45's, and got to shoot them several times.  Great single column magazine gun.  Accurate too.  Love to see one updated with a american magazine release, less complicated decocking procedure and a shorter reach trigger for the first DA shot.  Its the best looking polymer pistol made in my opinion, and one of the firsts.  Had chances to by two years ago when I was younger, but passed as I bought guns that I needed for my LE career.

The german police really got some good guns to choose from in the early and mid 70's, HK P7 and P9, Walther P5 and Sig P6 (225).
