I used the 15% from Springfield ordered two 17 round mags and the red dot screw kit.
Tr holster comes tomorrow, rmr type 2 6.5 moa comes Friday. I’m going to turn one of the 17s into the 20 round with that base plate extension. I’ll have a total of 2 20s and 2 17s. |

Mounted the rmr type 2, and the barrier from Trijicon with the screw kit from Springfield.
The screws from Trijicon are definitely longer. Haven’t gotten to sight it in yet. Probably Saturday. Yes when you activate the warranty from Springfield, they email you a 15% code. TR holster is good to go, I wish I could find a holster with a rti hanger that’s not over 200 dollars. |

I've had a couple of different holsters from them that held up very well. It's my OWB carry for my Sig P320 AXG. Incidentally, my Echelon with the TLR-7A on, fits almost perfectly in that same holster. They don't have a holster tailored to the Echelon just yet. Their OWB for RTI are $90-100. |

I also wonder how much fouling the front of that dot is getting with every shot. (I'm not trying to be critical, I'm just curious as to the overall impact on the handgun's performance other than split times.) |

My experience with this pistol is as good as the video reviews. I honestly can’t think of anything anyone could find to complain about with this new SA Echelon.

I sighted in the rmr last week, all I can complain about is, I was out of ammo! I may have to cull the heard a little bit... Im anxious to see a kit to transform in to a compact/sub compact if it happens.

View Quote Yeah, I'm wondering how that'll be offered... on the XDM/XDM Elite lines they have the "compact," but it really is more of a subcompact (at least in my opinion). While I couldn't complain either way (I can get a 3 finger grip on the XDM Elite Compact), it'll be interesting see how many different sizes they offer-- I'd love to see a long-slide compact/subcompact, but I doubt that'll happen. |

Rented one and ran a box of 115g Magtech ball through it this morning
Pros - 100% reliable range gun (who knew? ) - Initial ergonomic feel was great, and grip angle seemed about perfect for me (CZ/1911 = perfect. Glock/Sig P320 = not quite) - Love, love the slide cuts. Very easy manipulation anywhere I touched it - Great slide-to-frame fit, with a ball bearing type feel. HS Produkt really did a nice job there. Cons - An almost non-existent trigger reset sensation. I just couldn't find it, and found myself slapping at the trigger more than usual - I get a bad frame bite in the web of my thumb. It's right where the upper tang area radius transitions round to the side of the frame. The web of my hand was dark purple and painful after 50 rounds. I've had this happen with the HK P30 and pretty much any Ruger as well. I really, really, really want to like it. I'm ready to divorce my Glocks. But I think I'm gonna wait. I did preorder the small- frame module in hopes of improving the frame bite. Hell, I might preorder the large-frame module too. I'm really not sure how to reposition my hand yet. And I'm hopeful the light reset will be addressed by some 3rd party. Maybe Apex Tactical. Anyway, your mileage may vary obviously, but I'm hitting pause to see where this goes. Besides, I really want a five inch slide anyway. Cheers |

Was able to run 200 rds through mine yesterday.
Rmr with the small backstrap.. point of aim was high for me . Didn't like it. So I've put a 508t on it and the med backstrap. Did a bunch of dry fire. This seems to be much better for me . Will go back out and try again today |

Just saw on SA’s website that veterans can present a DD214 with ID can get the military discount at participating dealers.

I've run about 400 rounds thru mine with no issues. I haven't experienced the "frame bite" some are reporting. I shot another 400 thru this one Wed at a range demo. When I finished I picked up and shot my Glock 45. Holy crap it felt like garbage after the Echelon.
The RMR HD is a damn nice optic btw. Attached File |

The All-New Echelon 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol from Springfield Armory® It’s a good write up, but this part makes no sense to me: The Echelon is by no means the first “polymer-framed” pistol to feature an embedded chassis, but the Echelon is the first to create a chassis designed to be removable and readily swapped between grip modules; this allows the Echelon’s grip to be easily customized to the shooter’s hand to a degree never before seen, by using differently-sized grip modules available from Springfield Armory. The Beretta APX, SIG P320/P365, and I believe a couple others have been offering this chassis feature for several years, since the military MHS trials. I don’t see anything from the disassembly videos I’ve watched that makes the Echelon system any easier to swap grip modules. The small tab that interfaces with the takedown lever looks a little more difficult to manipulate than the P320’s design. I’m not sure why he makes that statement in the article. |
